Haven't seem him since that day we played with the awp/shield/ff.

Happy Birthday all the same.

Edit: I'd be scared if I just realized that I had just hit the quarter century mark.

Maybe one to many zeros, or maybe just one to many speed tickets?

I hope it's an extra zero, even if you convert from CDN to US funds it's still ridiculous.

Zeus that is like running your Business poorly mate, really that is such a waste of money mate!  Do whatever you can do to fix that even if you have to move every year and stop wasting money that is I am sure hard earned!  If you were running a part of a business right now it would look horrible on a P&L or could even put you out of business.

Our high school (we're talking the wonderful state of NJ) provides a "driving education" course as sophomore health. Successful completion (80% or higher) gets you exempt from the written part of your permit test and will save you money on insurance when you finally get your license. Too bad you have to wait until you turn 17 and have had your permit for at least 6 months before you get that stupid piece of plastic.

The driving course is all common sense, though some people just don't "get it" and fail. Then I laugh at them, and at the sad state of my peers on a whole.

I took a drving training course. I failed the written part 3 times. cost me extra $50 to re-write it. I take in car sessions, in which it was the worst exprience of my life. My last day i had a different guy to take me and give me some 'fake' road tests.. For the 2 hours in the car all he does is blab on about how poorly i was taught during my first 4 sessions and how i well probably need extra help. At this point im pretty pe'od. So when i leave the veichle he says "good luck, your going to need it."

So the next morining i go and take the road test. You are allowed i think likt 65 demerits (probably more). So i take the 30 min exam and park in the parking lot, she looks over and says well done. I passed the test with 0 demerits.

I hated the drivers training but it is worth taking it for that price break for your insurance

-- btw happy b-day narf

I guess stuff is different north of the border because down here the hardest question was like who goes first at a 4 way stop?

The 6 hours behind the wheel with a driving school to get your permit was fun. It's priceless to act like you're going to turn into head on traffic just to see the old guy's reaction.

Alberta has awful, awful drivers. Traffic fatality rates in Strathcona County (where Thee and I live) are in the top 5 in canada. Driver training is a joke. I passed my drivers training on the first try when I was 16, stupid, and obviously inept. On rural highways at night, where the speed limit is 100, There is ALWAYS a jerk in a huge truck tailgating me when I am doing 100. And this is at night, in the winter. I swear that 90% of this province is made up of drunken rednecks when I am on the road.

Narf Happy Birthday and we saw you out Eni's night when I had my hour of maps!  The rest of the baby geeks hi-jacked you Birthday fro Driving permits!  Can we say GEEKS here!  Nerdy Surgeon passes with flying colors on the test but even Grandma can out drive em!  Killer oh my God dude your supper cool but you must be like a chi wah wah when driving.  I see you shivering like a bundle of nerves with that story, LMFAO.  Who's driving anyways, LOL!  Dude you just got to have confidence even if you are scared to death, drive like it's a video game!  CONTROL CONTROL!  Fake even if you have too!
Man I was driving way before my test with dad on the back roads.  I took drivers Ed and was like this is going to be so easy!  I show up the day off my driving test; using my dad's company car big old wide Pontiac something, remember this is 1984!  I must admit I am a little nervous because the driver is this older lady no personality!  I was not going to charm her even if my jeans were real tight ya know.  First thing that happens is the hill stop, stop sir and park on the hill and apply you emergency brake.  Easy enough I park put on the emergency brake and the DAM thing does not work!  I'm like shit she going to fail me for that, I laugh it off and say I'll let my dad know.  Next is the parallel parking part, I can do it with my eyes closed it I am even to this day told man you can parallel park.  Well we come to the spot she says right here it's a VW bug in front and a big wide Delta 88 in the rear.  I pull backwards and right in but realize the bug is much thinner than the Pontiac and my rear wheel is against the curb, I felt it.  She look out the window see's were fine says you look good, due to the car is good in the front but the back left wheel is flat against the curb.  She says pull out, I do and the car won•t move it's hung up on the curve.  She looks at me like OK son this is your moment what you going to do?  Now I can see you panicking her Killer!  I look both ways over my shoulder and say FK it I'm either getting out or I am going to fail right now!  I smoke em a little the car goes bump and bingo were in the street, she says nothing!  When we park and I am waiting for her to say something this is what she said.  You passed Mr. Mercier, tell your dad to fix the car and you passed for one reason you never panicked!
