Impersonating a Police Officer: BAD IDEA

Some guy who picked up an old Crown Vic at a police auction was out driving when he followed a vehicle into a parking lot, parked behind it, and then asked the driver over. Then he proceeded to question the motorist about his driving habits.
Problem was the driver of the other car was a Gurnee police officer in plain clothes. The actual officer kept asking to see the guys identification...
"After several requests, the suspect responded that he could not show his police identification because he did not have it with him," Agos said. "At that point, our guy said, 'Well, how about if I show you mine,' and the suspect drove off."
Some people are just plain dumb. I wonder how many times he's done this before.

So now you know why we dont like the public going to police auctions lol
I shouldnt say that actually because they spend the money and all our auctions are for charity so get out there and buy cruisers and help us

Ive always thought itd be fun to pick up a crown vic and go point a hair dryer out the window and watch cars slow down
Course thats the kind of fun thats not worth the accompanying felony charges.

I had an ex-girlfriend that bought an old caprice classic cop car and they left a parking ticket book in the glove box. Boy did we have fun writing people fake parking tickets.
Fortunately we never got caught either, oh and Toby forget you read this.
