I know some comments have been thrown around that Druz, a new member to this place, had signed up for the tournament and asked two of his scrubmates to join him. Druz being a.. ahem.. decent player in CS would seem to be a little unfair on a team when playing against CSR regulars. I don't know if being able to work together as a 3 person team is a crime or not, but I'm not going to get into that.

Everyone wants to get better right? No use busting open a teams kneecap just to keep everyone in skill paralysis, and that goes for Nittanys team too. not like I know what is going on with them, heh. Best thing that ever happened to my skill in CS was playing Druz constantly and learning how he thinks. I'm surprised and confused HLTV hasn't been set up, isn't this a community thing? I'd love to spectate a match.

Anyway, I'd just like to point out that being invited into the tournament has recruited a CSR regular as a lurker on the boards and a player on the server.. me. Although I leave when I can't take the map that's being played(You're stylish cs_bikini, but I'm looking at you!)

In here, a good ratio of the admins are fair and balanced(The bad admins know who they are trust me), and an abundance of loyal members keep things interesting. I didn't think a community of CS like this still existed, and I wish I found this place a long time ago.

Cheers!

Exodin don't let the complaints of a few discourage you.

I for one am glad to see new faces on the server that are going to hopefully be around for more than one night.

It's much more fun to get owned by someone you know.

Meh, only reason I complained about the level of competiton in the tournament in the first place is because I mistakenly though that since this was a "CSR" Tournament it would be different than other tournaments. It obviously isn't much of a departure from any other ones.

For the most part I don't mind getting my ass kicked by people better than me. Case in point, that time on aztec when you, Druz, and your other buddy, whooped animal, myself, and someone else. In fact that happened on numerous occasions. Sure, it helps you improve as a player, but I don't have a second part to this thought.

I don't know what happened to HLTV, if it got scraped or someone just forgot about it. I watched your match last night and it was fairly interesting, a landslide victory, but interesting none the less.

I'm sorry to hear you're not a fan of bikini. It's a great map, though no where near as cool as de_batcave. Probably on account that it's a cs_ map whereas batcave is a de_ map.

All in all, I'm glad you like it here and like Skip said, don't be discouraged. I hope you stick around.

this is where my idea comes in for the next tourney.

Handicap the teams based on players kpd ratio so that you get one  high one middle and one low kpd ratio on each team. Basically everyone signs up and then we divide players into 3 categories and draw one name from each category to create a team. Then we throw them onto one of Grounded's simple, never before seen maps and let them have at it.

Of course talk or rather typing is cheap, putting this into practice might be rather difficult.

Then you have the dubious joy of telling peons like myself that they're in the 'low' category...

See, only on this board I'd make a post.. go to sleep, and wake up with a couple of thought out replies.

As far as the next tournament rules, that sounds like a plan, Skip.

I've never tried those custom maps Surgeon.. and true, a DE map would keep a terrorist from camping and killing everyone to get a higher rank in the stats *cough* Damn there is a fricken cold on this thread.
*sneeze*
- Yuck.

I believe there is a match tonight, I hope I'll be able to watch it. HLTV WHERE ARE YOOOOO?

Pancho your funny man!  Dude I will be in France (Paris) from October 14th till the 18th, Brussels (AMsterdam) 19th to the  21st, Luxemburg the 21st and back to Paris on the 24th.  Maybe we can meet in Amsterdam and stop at a coffe shop and have a cup of java and a smoke and discuss CS for an hour or so looking over the red light district!

There doesn't seem to be a match scheduled tonight. If you really want to watch, nobody is going to mind if you just show up and spectate.

Yes, its really nice to see the community get larger, with some fine additions

As someone else said a little while ago, its much more comfortable to be owned by someone you 'know' from our community than some guy who turns up for one shootout, hehe... *starts thinking about getting taught hard lessons by Zool and co.*

See you on the server m8!
