lvl 18 Human Mage.. couldnt tell ya what server it is but it starts with an A.. i play with my brother and his friend.
my brother and I (18 Night Elf Rogue) killed our first Horde yesterday.. lvl 27 undead Mage.. he attacked me first, i turned him into a sheep, and we then went on to rape him.

also on horde
and i've killed so many alliances that i figured out i was totally useless and boring.
They need to fix the pvp! :p

pvp is great, i'm on a few Alliance gank lists, but so far my best kill was 1 on 1 i took a 31 druid @ level 23. As it is now i just destroy anyone near my level hehe.

Been playing the game in beta, and now since release. I had a 48 Tauren Shaman in Beta, and now after last night I have a 49 Shaman on Warsong. Loving the game so far as I knew I would, Zool you do any of the fun instances yet? Like Zul'Farrak, and Maraudon? Maraudon is just simply amazing, I did two runs of that yesterday, and got three new pieces of equipment for my shaman! Really amazing stuff. I'll grab some screen shots when I go through it again, killing the princess in there is quite tough, but a lot of fun!

This boss is pretty tough, in the middle of the fight, he fades away, and like 6 or 7 mini water elementals spawn and start bashing you. Getting hit by 6 things can hurt quite a bit, so you gotta kill them fast to get him to reapear. A fun fight!

Shamans? They aren't over powered, just very dynamic. They have a tool for every situation, the only thing is they need to know which tool to grab when they are in that situation. They're known to be the "jack of all trades" in the game, although they can heal, tank, melee, and cast, they aren't as good at it as say a warrior is at tanking, or a priest is at healing. Honestly, I am sick of all the people posting how "over powered" shaman are, play one and learn for yourself.
As for paladins, thats a different story. They must be killed at all times =) Whats your name on Warsong?

haha if you've never played vs a shaman don't talk about them not being over powered.. a SMART shaman could take out the best paladin with something as simple as walking backwards
spamming earthbind totems and frost shock till the paladin is dead, no range no damage.. pretty simple
and if it doesnt work turn around ghost wolf form and run your ass off..which is the main body part I see from shamans
Pallys are not overpowered at all.. they're decent in melee and they basicly have 1 extra life, not 2 like some people think (2 shields, sure.. but one of them doesnt protect vs spells)
YOU run just out of reach we CANT catch up to you, but if we do you're dead
absolutely nothing that makes pallys over powered the range issue is weakness enough
Shamans are not jack of all trades.. thats a druids job and they suck.. shamans are alot better considering they have a 5 seconds cool down frost direct damage spell which instantly slows people down, and when that wears off? totem.. they are ALOT easier to survive with than paladins

You have no ranged correct, but that can be easily fixed. Pick up tradeskills in engineering, make yourself a net gun, and boom you dont need range. With a huge array of stuns to boot. Paladins shouldn't have range because they have great survivabilty. I have played against a shaman, I also played a warrior for a bit in beta.
PvP is a rock/paper/scissors type deal, thats how blizzard set it up. I take advantage of your weakness. You beat warriors hands down, you can beat rogues hands down, just because you cant beat one class in the game ALL the time? Later in game you will find useful potions such as free action potions which will "gasp" let you break free of this snare? You also complain about my snare totem, take the one swing that it takes to kill it, and guess what! I can't cast it again for another 15 seconds.
Shamans are the only ones that can interupt your heal on your immune to melee shield only, because they are the only ones that have a cast stun. So yes you do have three lives. Can I heal like priest? no. A pally can tho, if specced the correct way. Can I do as much damage as a rogue? Hell no. Not even close. Can I tank like a warrior? HAH. I have 3000 armor right now. Learn your enemy, then you can kill them.

Hunters can train mail, cast magic, although they can't turn into a wolf they can use aspect of the cheetah after stunning you to get away. They can't lay down totems but they can have a pet that keeps casters from casting.

a full heal every HOUR, if you think thats useful in a large scale raid you're out of your mind.

Ok well im not an engineer nor will I become one.. each thing takes up a slot and has a chance of messing up and is expensive.. I didnt go that route.. I dont have to
wide array of stuns? please over dramatize ONE STUN ATTACK every minute or so and a SEAL that has a CHANCE to stun but I can only stun you so many times in a minute before you become immune not to mention I can only have one seal at a time so I still attack really slow with no extra damage via other seals.

LOL First off the 15 second cast time is BRAND NEW it was practicly insta cast for soooo long dont even give me that balancing crap without mentioning that.
Second I guess you havent been on the recieving end of a totem they dont cut off the second you kill them so there is no point in doing so for an earthbind totem atleast. And yes I can make free action potions

Interupting isnt a big deal.. you can still hit us with the spells.. most pallys wait untill the last second to use a shield and its not like its anywhere near an instacast heal for us either, if you play smart and waste all of our shields we cant get away from you, like i said.. a totem and the frost attack ever 5 freaking seconds to work down our health and eventually our shields and then getting up close for the kill which you are very capable of doing melee style

Changed MUCH?.. what have they changed from the paladin so far? the quest to get the sense undead spell thats what.. they added 15 seconds to your totems.. im not stupid dont try to pretend nothing ever happend to your poor class

We know the exact skill combo because you already refered to it.
Anyways, I took some ss from my first raid and I'd like to share them with you.

It would probably be helpful to read below for some context.
Basically, we started off and met at Splintertree and moved to Astannar* to raid it. Which we did until someone aggroed the gaurds and like 40 of them came running after us combined with a alliance counter sent us running. They corpse camped and road ganked us till we made it back to Splintertree, which has a few gaurds that don't really like to attack when they raided us. However, there raid was made up of about 10 40+ where as ours was made up of about 30 10-40. Well, I hearthed to barrens after a successful killing of the alliance outside splintertree because the wvyns* and the flight master got on them. This is where you see the first SS, I didn't take any of the first raid on Astannar*, I just didn't think to at the time.
I hearthed to XR to get more higher lvls in the raid and reorganize. Then quickly flew back to Splintertree where scouts said Alliance had organized a raid headed for XR. You can see these in the SS. We rallied support from high lvls so quickly they never made it to XR and were sent fleeing and were mob ganked and then we took the new high lvl raid group back to Astannar* which was destoryed for about 10 minutes I'd estimate, could be longer though. You can see this in the SS. Despite calls from numerous people to either head north or get in the road and just their obviously coming counter, most didn't listen, however this wasn't much of a problem as we were able to get away from the gaurds sit across the bridge and pick Alliance off.
Then I got too tired, I hearthed back to XR, and went to bed.

Astranaar is the easiest place for horde to raid, I dont even bother going there when it gets raided .. all horde do it on every server and practicly own it..

You only hurt yourself by not becoming the best PvP tradeskill. Engineering is all about using them on enemies, whats tailoring good for in PvP? "Hold on a sec Mr. Horde, let me knit you a sweater!", although alchemy can be useful in PvP for that one time use potion. I like to do massive amount of damage with my bombs, I'll just buy/find my own potions. The majority of the time they work properly, sometimes they don't oh well. But you say that you hate having "useless" stuff in your inventory, as a shaman, I have to carry around 4 totems in order to use certain spells, I have to carry around reagents such as; Fish Oils, Fish Scales, and Ankhs. As for your stuns, you probably don't use them correctly, as in the correct timing. A smart paladin uses them at the correct time, interupting key spells. You probably just spam it, and therefor waste it.
LOL First off the 15 second cast time is BRAND NEW it was practicly insta cast for soooo long dont even give me that balancing crap without mentioning that.

Another thing that was introduced a while ago, during beta, was the ability to resist this totem at higher levels, this little nerf was supposed to balance it a lot but it still was too powerful. They added the timer to it so you couldn't keep dropping it over and over again, I agree this was needed. I usually don't use it in PvP all that much, as it gets resisted by players constantly, and they kill it before it actually lands the effect.
Second I guess you havent been on the recieving end of a totem they dont cut off the second you kill them so there is no point in doing so for an earthbind totem atleast. And yes I can make free action potions

Interupting isnt a big deal.. you can still hit us with the spells.. most pallys wait untill the last second to use a shield and its not like its anywhere near an instacast heal for us either, if you play smart and waste all of our shields we cant get away from you, like i said.. a totem and the frost attack ever 5 freaking seconds to work down our health and eventually our shields and then getting up close for the kill which you are very capable of doing melee style

If I were to go toe-to-toe with a paladin, I would lose. Basically any class that tries to go melee against a paladin will lose. So why would I want to do something stupid like that? I use what is effective, as I said before we are the only class that can effectively do this to a paladin. Why don't you say how you do against other classes? So far you only have mentioned how you lose to shaman all the time, but you didn't say how you do against warriors, the weapon masters of this game.

WOW, I read not even half way through and your response YET AGAIN is geared towards twisting my words which is amazing.
1 I dont spam my daze attack.. You said we have alot of daze moves which we dont, we have 2 forms of daze which I named, yet then you turned it into a "timing" issue that somehow has to do with me so im guessing YET AGAIN you have NO idea what you are talking about we only have ONE way to dazing you FOR SURE and thats our hammer of justice on a 1 min cool down timer.
The other way is a seal which RANDOMLY dazes maybe 2 times a minute before you become completly immune from any type of stun for a short period of time.

I'm a paladin, im 2 handed, it takes more than 2 seconds for me to swing my weapon not even close to 1 second even with my 50% increase in speed so no.. this wouldnt work and the problem isnt solved

I said NOTHING of you going straight melee to a paladin I said AFTER you've wasted a paladins shields or wittled him down enough to take a few quick swings with that wind fury crap to suprise the paladin by taking a chunk out of his hp quicker than he thought thus preventing him from using the shield (unless he uses it early just to be safe) which wasnt a sure fire plan just a suggestion

So how about them realm ques?
People on Blackrock having to wait for over an hour to join. Alliance raid on a day or two ago crashed the server. With 670,000 and 16,000 on Warsong alone. (250,000 Horde 420,000 Alliance leads to 9000 alliance 6900 horde on Warsong) I'm still having fun though even with all the lag.
You can look at this large raid on Crossroads today. Alliance came in as I was still flagged for pvp from Thousand Needles and it brought the server to its knees and somehow lived through the whole thing.
They were sent back out within about three-five minutes and then for a half an hour afterwards horde and alliance fought until alliance scattered around and attacked various places within the barrens.

Everquest looks sooooo boring. Trust me, i've watched people like Azus play it. It was his Evercrack.
Then I saw someone play WoW. It actually interested me and I further investigated and bought it when exams were done. I play it way too much now, but that is also cause I was blacked out on my seasons pass and without that, what is there to do outside. I mean, even if you spend hours a day with friends that leaves you with tons of extra time. Schools out = I'm out of work :-(
Anyways, I enjoy playing this game probably equal to the way I enjoyed playing cs two years ago. Even though, i'm forced to grind right now unless I go into Desolance with someone else otherwise I'm just ganking fodder. As Kaoz and I went through it, we never got killed, but Alliance tried and we ganked a pally because he was a pally. He kept coming back till we left, but it was a laugh. We were forced to run a lot though, and that is just extremly inefficient. So grind it is.

if you have skillz in EQ.. it can only take a day or so to get to 30... and i don't like stupid games like D2 where u can gain lvls so insanly fast that it gets boring.. and the graphics for WoW didn't impress me at all

When I used to play EQ, which is up to pretty recently, I was able to level a character to 55 in 3 days, and even got my epic for that alt. You just gotta know the places to be at what level. Having high level friends is a must, or else you're kind of left in the dark. I was having a lot of fun with the planar progression on my wizard, was in a time guild, so we raided time every weekend. We also worked on GoD, which was a pain to get flagged for. Then I was in KT, and realized I didn't want to play anymore =P.

Nah I'm really far from it, I just wasted all my golds on a weapon (150)...
