I recently viewed some screenshots of what people are saying to each other online. You caught me at the wrong time, I'm not in the mood for this BS.

Trash talking between friends doesn't bother me, as long as a certain level of decorum is kept. | But you are NEVER to use Racial, Religious, or other equally sensitive epitaths against other people on the server...even if they don't mind!!! |
I have already mentioned this topic...this is a BAN offense. Everyone caught doing this is going to be banned. If you see someone saying racially or religiously offensive slurs, take a screenshot of what is said and their WONIDs, and PM it to an admin to take action.

I'm bumping this because some people doesn't understand the rules, and keep asking why some words are in the swear filter and some aren't. This is the last time I'm going over it, so please, pay attention.
The swear filter is there for a reason. Rule # 5 that you agree to when you join the server is "NO SWEARING". You cannot join the server unless you agree to this and the other rules of CSR. For convenience, and because we know some people just don't have the willpower, and to cover the occassional slip, we have a swear filter. Just because we have a swear filter doesn't mean you can try to bypass it...it's a tool to help us enforce no swearing. Another tool to enforce no swearing is the admin team...we will warn, we will mute, we will llama, kick, and if need be...ban - those people who do not understand what "no swearing" means.
If the word is not in the swear filter, there is a reason...ie: "BS" is not in the filter because noone could say "Ribs"...we also had a player named "Soulassasain"...couldn't say his name with the filter.
Just because you CAN say it, doesn't mean you SHOULD say it. If you need to cuss, say it with the microphone off, punch your desk, or type "nice shot" to the guy who killed you. Please, what is it that is not clear about the rule NO SWEARING ?

Lastly, whoever the admin was that was on around 0345 hrs (est), kudoes to you. Those hostage killers were annoying (b&c clan guy and mR clan guy).
Ribs I was goin to suggest stickyin the thread so it stays and you dont have to bump, RIGHT BEFORE I NOTICED the thread is stuck already, ROFL.

I see this has become an issue and people go to great lengths to bypass the swear filter. Here is what I have formulated as a solution. When I am finished with the final touches on Team Holy's permanent server I will turn the temp server into a 12 man open server. It will once again be called Sh*t Yourself and Sit In It, for all those of you who remember the early name of the last server at BMW. Anyone that wants an AWP and wants to call people hackers and racists GO THERE. You can all swim in the same filthy pool and wallow in vulgarity. There are too many young players on CSR that don't need to be hearing filth running rampid from peoples mouths, so just take it elsewhere and I will provide the place for you.

Actually Ribs, if you were to use a HLTV proxy, you could connect to the game server to "watch" it while you were using HLSW. You'd just have to be sure to launch CS in windowed mode instead of full-screen.
C:\Sierra\Half-Life\hl.exe -console -game cstrike -win +connect proxy.csreloaded.com
That connect statement won't work by the way (because there is no machine out there called or working as "proxy.csreloaded.com", but you get the idea I hope.
UPDATE: Ribs, I've just talked to RG about getting that alias set up. We can use iCabbit to host a (very small) HLTV server that admins can use to "watch" the game. I'll get back to you with more as it happens.

...or have it configured correctly. I can't say I've ever seen HLTV jerk any more than a normal player in-game would (which is exactly what it is, btw.) It gets the same stream of data every other player gets, and simply forwards that to anyone connected to the proxy. Plus, there's not even a return stream (for sending player commands back to the server) taking up bandwidth! And on top of that, you can even increase the proxy's bandwidth so the ride is smoother for people watching that it is for those playing (assuming as Kaoz said you've got an reasonably efficient ISP).

I know what you mean, but that happens when you're actually playing too. You can shoot somewhere even you wouldn't think would hit, and it ends up being a headshot. I would blame the netcode on that though, not HLTV.

HLTV has a fatal flaw for finding hackers. The spectator crosshair is off on every type of shot. EG: you see a player that looks like he is aiming somewhere else (not directly over the target) and the plyr hits the target. This is why cal no longer requires hltv...

Yeah, hltv is unreliable for detecting hackers unless it is really blatent. You have to look at the code that is sent back in forth on someone's fp demo.

Yeah, however, its good to use to keep track of admins at times... that what we used it for on eN... so that if problems came up, we had proof of what happened.. it also records all text messages... like admin_tsay and admin_csay, so it helped with admin abuse too...kept everyone in line...

We record all of the admin commands used. So admin abuse is easy to spot. I also look at the commands every week and pm the admins responsible for certain issues. So far, nothing big has come about from it, all admins are behaving mostly admirable. We can always expect one or two slip ups though. Its only human, and we understand that.

Be part of the solution, any idiot can be mean, it's just a game! Don't let the crazy world in our small world here at CS-Reloaded be affected. Is it not enough were are all killing eachother in a fantasy world, that should be enough input as it is.
Think about how advanced we are with evrything and all the different people and religions out there and we are still killing REAL human beings in this day and age. No human should be killing anybody for any reason at all, it's a sad thing if you think about it. I dont care who your god is you should not be killing another human being. Swearing and name calling is for mean people! Only Stats will prove your skill and apptitude so FOCUS!

I don't use Queen's English, I don't even use American English, but I use that wonderful dialect known as Jersey boy. If we can't spell it we just wave our arms in the air and say the word loudly over and over again.

::chuckles:: Every time I watch Sopranos I start talking like I'm back in NJ.
It pains me watching that car detailing commercial (in Vermont) when they pretend to pay homage to the Sopranos. They're about as NJ Italian-American as Kung-Pao Chicken.
