New maps on monday?

I just wanted to check in with all you to make sure everyones cool with this.
The mapping challenge is complete. We have three maps that are going to be tested and evaluated. I'm thinking monday from 6-9pm would be a good time to play them (1 hour each). If this is good for everyone, I'll post it in the events forum later tonight to let everyone know. Hopefully we can get the word out about this so people can download the maps early (also going to be put up tonight).

If I'm not mistaken, joust and thinktank are already up, but haven't been tested to make sure they load okay. They are in maps.ini already though.
The time sounds good to me, but Wannabe and I might be kinda late-- 6 PM eastern is 5 PM central, which is when Wannabe starts the 45 minute drive home from work.

Deuce - I think at this stage it's less a contest and more a test-run of a contest. I certainly wouldn't mind if you managed to get another map ready, I suppose it's up to MM.

Personally I'd prefer if you choose one of the two. cs_hs would be the better choice. I want to get the maps ready for downloading tonight, so there isn't much time for you to get it ready. I think you should just take your time, finish it right, then release it another time.

The joust zip has foreward instead of backward slashes in it's file structure and so doesn't extract to the correct directories. Not a big deal though.

Are you talking about the res file? I believe it's preferable to use unix-style slashes for compatability with linux HLDS machines. I downloaded this copy of joust just fine (with all the additions in the proper folders), even with the current forward slashes in the res file. It even extracted as it should on my Mac.
I'm not a mapping expert though so don't pay me too much mind.

Well when I extracted the zip all the files went straight into c:\games\half-life\cstrike instead of their respective folders.
