Seems like this version will be the final one:

http://www.csreloaded.com/files/bomb/de_just.zip

Things added:

-Overview with spawns and sites marked
-Boring as hell easter egg
-Staircase up from underpass
-Pipe crossing a slope to allow easier rushing of A
-Decals pointing the way to sites
-Grass/metal makes right noise when you run on it
-Made crawl section of vents shorter for quicker passage
-Loads of optimisation to make it run smoother (except for JB )

I have hopped around.

First the negatives:

-Many awful, awful camping spots throughout the map.

-The tunnel is too bright. How do you expect me to knife people all stealthy like?

Now the positives:

-Looks really nice.

-Looks more balanced with the stairs. You might actually have a reason to go underpass now. Don't know about the pipe so much.

Well, I can only guess what the gameplay is like (hence looks), but it looks more balanced than the original.

Nice work.

Calling camping spots "awful" is gonna piss G-girl off.  Prepare for wrath.

Camping doesn't bother me, it's how I get most of my kills.  What does bother me is people speaking loudly on mobile phones in trains.  That's not particularly relevant though.

For most people, camping is basically saying to me that "I can't kill you, I just have to hope you run past me and let me shoot you in the back." I have no problem with playing conservatively, but that and camping are two totally different things.

Therefore we come out with the basic equation:

camping = awful

Phones in general bother me.

The only reason I'm half as good as I am is because I depend on stealth and surprise as much as possible. I don't have the twitch reflexes some of these kids today have-- I usually can't out-target and out-headshot you. (Hence my love of the P90.) But if that means running off with you chasing me and ducking into a spot I think I can cap you from, that's what I'm gonna do. My rationalization is that if you didn't want to die, you should have checked behind the box.

Meh.

I don't care that you saw me and you're backtracking to try and (re)gain some form of tactical advantage. I'm talking about  running and hiding and not looking to confront your opponent. I.E. cowering in a corner surrounded by six boxes.

Unless of course you plan on coming charging with a knife. Then all is fair game.

Edit: Or just work together as a team. If enough slow reflex people band together, they can fire as many bullets (hopefully accurate) to make up the 1ms advantage.

There are quite a few campspots, but I don't think any of them really give much of a tactical advantage. I did try camping in the dark for a knifekill last night but my prey turned around before I could get close enough and I was forced to UMP him

The pipe: The point of the pipe is to open up the right hand side of that 'ramp area' for Ts. On dust Ts usually rush B and if they try going right then they're forced to go up the main route down from CT spawn. The pipe allows them to get into the CT sniper nest more quickly and rush up the back route (the bit with the breakable windows in the ceiling).

Tunnel brightness: I lost the original lights.rad file containing the brightnesses and colours of the lights so I had to try and guess. The tunnel was actually brighter than that in previous compiles but I brought it down quite a bit.

Yeah - there are definitely different extremes of camping.  Running from spawn into an out-of-the-way spot and holding there while all your teammates die so you can pick up scraps is indeed awful.  But having numerous holding spots, or cover for respite where you can listen and plan your next move makes CS more interesting to me.

Confronting your opponent is the aim of the game but there is more than 1 way to do so and this, to me, doesn't mean rushing every chance I get.  It just becomes deathmatch like that.

But I'm with SG on the lameness of power-camping.  The thing I like about CS is that I can adjust my game to balance the importance of reflex, stealth and teamwork so that I get the most out of it and everyone else in my team does too.

Well, there's that too, but that comes from the fact that I can't practice. I actually tried running CS the other day when my ping was down around 70-80. When I got in-game, it was horrible, like somebody kept squeezing a garden hose and then letting it go. My netgraph was entirely blue and red, which most people know are NOT normal colors. I would have taken a screenshot, but it was so bad that Steam crashed on me-- entirely. The entire program just gave up and quit! I tired again and it did the same thing. I literally couldn't play right now even if I wanted to.

Notice Skip is not making any comments, cough, super dooper camper!  I hate campers and get so frustrated when somebody as good as JB kills me from a camping spot!  In the end though thier are no rules to war or this game in that matter and any way anybody can get a kill is what we are all trying to do!  So in the end camping is a crucial part of the game, I unfortunately I am DDT and ccant sit still for that long!  Frustration or not it's because I am jealouys that I got out witted not out gunned!

Isn't that the poison that was killing all the bald eagles back in the '80s??
