Before I go ahead and add it to the server and post it on other mapping forums, I thought I should put the file up here and open the final testing up to everyone. One or two people have given it the all clear, but there may still be some nasty bug in there somewhere. If you can find anything you think needs fixing, take a screenshot and post an explanation.

Download (what I hope will be) de_remy_final

roughly how big are these downloads??

this one, and the map pack for the JB's maps tonight??

also what time (UK) is it tonight??

I'm on restricted DL so if maps are like 100mb then its a problem - but im guessing it should be much less than that!!

http://www.csreloaded.com/downloads.php - tells you the size of the file. remy_final is about 6 megs and all JB's maps are roughly equal to that, or less. as_tigris might need to be replaced at the last minute though, since it crashed the server the other night. If you're on restricted download you should download the maps in zip files beforehand because the fast download will deliver them to you uncompressed.

the name is too long.

Way back when I first thought I'd finished the map (what a fool I was ), I released it as de_remy. Go to the downloads page and you can see the difference. I would just overwrite it but it's been circulated through a bunch of map download sites already (not by me, just by the force that is the Internet). The common practise when this happens is to add _final to the end of the name although some people prefer _v2. Personally I think de_remy_final sounds a lot better than de_remy_v2.

I tried to put up an 'admin_vote_map de_remy_final' and I got denied. we did end up spending ~5 rounds on de_remy though.

It's not on the server yet.

The point of this thread was to see if people could find any more mistakes in it before he put it on the server.

The most current version on the server is de_remy_pre.

I'm glad it's going to be called de_remy_final. He's certainly cooler than some other mapper I know who decides to call the final version of his maps by the same name as the original.

Oooh handbags!

If you want to try the map just create a new game of CS and you can run around in it by yourself. This is what I do when I'm looking for errors/things to fix.

The fixed bsp has been uploaded to the server. If you didn't notice the error before, you won't notice anything different about this version. If you already have the map you'll need to delete the bsp - sorry! Alternatively you can download the zip file and overwrite the old bsp that way:

Nice

That means someone must have downloaded your map!!! Now the test is to see if you can find a server other than CSR that is running it.

Lol I checked late last night - you quite often see servers trying custom maps that have just been released. I remember seeing that happen with de_plaka and de_nazca2, even though neither mapper was particularly 'famous'.
