although itook german for 3 years and have been to germany 2 time, i think i can understand like 34.2248% of what that site says

Nope I haven't pimped the map anywhere else (mainly because of the beta status) - the guy just emailed me today with the info. So in order for them to have the map in the first place, someone must have seen it on the CSR forums and passed it on. Pretty neat huh?
Tom - how did you know I volunteered you? Was that a phone conversation we had and I forgot?
It's 7pm GMT tomorrow night if anyone wants to give it a go. I can't seeing as I have no comp. Great timing...

I went to the playtest - the server was full 16/16 and they were all very impressed. I heard lots of german mumblings which were eventually translated for me into 'great gameplay', 'nice clean design' and 'jepz aber'. No idea what 'jepz aber' is.
My ping was about 200 and my score was sorely negative...naturally I assume they must have been hacking.

Well, well, well. I got an email this morning and it turns out my map 'won' the playtest i.e. it was the favourite of the four maps they tested! (despite being the ugliest by an absolute mile)
I guess I just fluked a good layout because they really liked the gameplay. Anyway they said that once I make cs_thinktank_final it will go into the server rotation or in the meantime if I need beta testers they'll gladly do it. Shocker eh?
On a related note, I was doing my occasional pathetic Googling of cs_labassault and de_remy (my other two 'released' maps) and came across this:

It's nice to know somebody is actually USING my software other than me. Probably the same warm fuzzy feeling grounded has from them having his map too.
