Steam Friend's List

I've had trouble connecting to Friend's list the entire time its been out with sporatic success. The other day I got a message for the first time saying something like "Firewall preventing you from connecting to friends list". I didn't change any settings and have had a firewall running the whole time. I have the most up to date drivers to my router and still no luck. Since its works occasionaly, is a problem on my end or does steam just suck that much?

) only to be connected to the friends list 5 minutes after.
I heard somewhere that steam goes down every sunday for repair or somethin like that.

I heard somewhere that steam goes down every sunday for repair or somethin like that.

The only other software in the world that goes down once a week needing repair is Windows. Way to go Valve, that would make you second worst software developer in the world!

It appears I'm out of luck then eh? What could be a really useful feature just sucks like there is no tommorow. Seems to me they wasted their time. I mean what's the point in developing the feature if they're not going to support it/get it to work?

I also have a problem getting onto the steam friends network. Sometimes it will just try for ages and not actually do anything. I have no idea why this happens although i managed to log on now. Weird
