CZ auto pre-load

Ok here's my problem. Recently I have noticed that my ping has been quite a bit higher than normal and I think I may know what the problem is but I don't know how to fix it!
In my games menu for Steam I have set all the games except for CS to NOT autoupdate (as I think this may affect ping during game play - correct me if I'm wrong). But now that CZ is nearly out I noticed that it automatically tries to download a pre-order onto your computer (~240mb i think). Mine was about 80% done when I cancelled it but I don't know how to stop it from trying again (maybe I should have just let it finish but its too late now  ).
For all the other games you can right click on them in the Steam-Games menu and tell them to not auto update but I don't think you can do this for CZ.
Can anyone help me out please?

I didn't think anyone was being sent any CZ stuff yet, and presumably you have to actually pre-order before they send anything.
As for autoupdate - if CS isn't updated to the latest version then you can't play it. So I doubt your being sent anything while you play. Could be wrong though - Porter?

No I agree, I just stop auto update on the games i dont play. Mostly cos i dont see the point in updating if i dont use them.
But i think the CZ pre-order download is during gameplay and hence my problem with ping i think.
Its not a big problem but it would be nice if it didnt as i dont really want it.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. It was 72% complete before i noticed. I just canceled the download and picked an option to not pre-download condition zero. It should be there when you right click on condition zero in the game menu and go to somewhere. I'm not at home to give exact details but if you can't find it tell me and i'll give you precise directions.

yeah thanks, wen i clicked cancel pre-oreder dl or whatever it was - i just presumed it would retry once i reconnected to steam but i dont think it has. so all is good just now, thanks.
Bit of a cheek starting automatically in the background tho!

Yes, I too noticed steam "pre-downloading" cz on to my computer. They certainly didn't ask for my permisson and I'm not too happy about that.

Its not that bad, nothing like the pc version, but its good if you're playing with friends. With that being said, halo is exponentially better.

Yah, I just went on cs and it said it was downloaded on my computer but i have to pay 30 dollars to unlock it.
