Mouse lag?

I tried to get in a game of CS the other day and it was a terrible experience...there was about 1/2 to 1/4 second delay between when I moved the mouse and my view would change on-screen. Completely unplayable. The night before, I played CS and didn't have any problems.
The only change I made in the meantime was adjust mouse settings in System Shock 2, if that would have changed my global mouse settings...but the mouse works fine in every other application I tried...just not in CS and or in CZ offline.
Anyone know if this is some sort of mouse sensitivity issue, some way to reset mouse input, anything...I'm desperate...I want to CS, but I'm not gonna re-install the thing again just to remove some stupid input setting.
Help!

I had the problem a couple years ago. Turned out to be the specific driver version for my video card. You said you haven't changed anything else though, so I don't have any other good suggestions.

Just going to guess here.. but did you try restarting your system? Beyond that I'd have to know a bit more about the system. Such as, which mouse are you using, which OS? Since its only happening in HL I would also have to check my configs to see if I can find anything. I'll check here again tonight Ribs, but you can MSN me if you want and I can try to solve this for you.

Thanks. I'll come on later tonight after a reset and see if that makes a difference.

OMG!!!!
SS2 rocks...still one of my all time favs... Don't use the defalt models though... DL the rebirth models package from here http://perso.wanadoo.fr/etienne.aubert/sshock/sshock_rebirth.htm
Much better models than the default....but the game still absolutely rocks.
