Steam Error

hey guys, i was wonderin if ne one else was having the same problem as me... when i login to steam and try to join a server i get some error sayin steam id is not valid or some crap like that.. any ideas on what that is? or why its doing that? cause id very much like to play this new mod for HL called digital paintball and so far all the servers have that error.. as well as most CS and day o defeat servers.
well suggestions are appreciated thanks..

exit steam (right click on the system tray and click on exit steam..make sure its totally disconnected)
all it means is steam lost connection with you..you just need to reconnect

dude i exit and do that constantly.. but yeah when i get back to my dorm room in like 30 min i will try it... u got aim?

also..if that doesnt work..log out of steam (under options i think)

neither of the things u suggested worked.. i tried them repeatly and tried different servers.. ne other suggestions?
