Server Verification Failed

Hey guys, I just installed the "full" steam install, (so i could get things other than Counter-Strike (namingly, DoD). And now whenever I try to get onto a server it gets to the point where it is "Validating Game Resources..." then it stops and errors out saying "Server Verification Failed". So I can't play right now... Anyone know how I can fix this/track it down?

this happened to me the other day... after rebooting and waiting about 30 min it worked..
im not sure if the rebooting had anything to do with it... but i would bet the waiting 30 minutes did

It should be fixed now, VALVe took down the WON servers, and did the final switch to Steam, and it messed with their auth services i guess

Whenever i click on the "Steam" icon thats on my desktop, it will say, opening steam.... then it will sit at main page that says options, freinds, servers, news, etc. And when i try to click on anyone of them, its like the page is invisible, then on my toolbar theres the steam icon, and it acts "invisible" also 
Please help
