Thats pretty good. My professor for my computer science graphics course is big into virtual reality stuff and he has had grad students working on lighting models for making 3D graphic objects look realistic in real photos. Its actually not that hard of an endeavor.

That video has a 3D model of a lawnmower fixed to a motion-capture taken from a remote-controlled airplane. The 3D lawnmower is superimposed over the video, rotating with and placed at the same distance away from the camera. The lawnmower is then lit up with a lighting model with the light source placed at the same angle as the sun on the day the video was recorded.

I wish the video wasn't compressed so much because it looks very well done.

"WTF is going on hear!"

pffft...... Dost though pay attention in English class?

Ya know, given what I know is possible with balsa wood and foam, I wouldn't doubt the authenticity of that...... 'Lifting bodies' (i.e. an aircraft where there are no wings and lift is obtained through shaping of the body of the craft) are a proven concept, and it probably would not be that difficult to create a shape that mimics a lawnmower and provide enough lift from the actual shape to get it off the ground. Stability is another thing, but it certainly isn't impossible.

That being said, I could bang something like that together in Blender without too much dificulty, although there is much more to it that Terraji's simple description.....

I think Occam's Razor definetly applies here.  Even though it might be possible, it still would be a much more lucrative proposition to design and build something like that than it woud be to doctor a video.
