well i can tell you one certain admin is currently trying to write a 3 page essay, and then will be progressing to reading 50 pages about useless information.

 I came in after trying to talk to porter to fix my laptop (something slight and porter have been helping me with for nearly 1.5 wks now). And I was in within 30mins of this original post, and according to HH they had already left, all things considering, I think that's a fairly decent reaction time. So... again for kaoz's comment about admins in the server.
That's all I got...

point being: Why not give admin to those who play regularly, and show some responsibility and maturity? not necessarily me, as i'd never claim to be any of those. I just think that more active player should get a limited admin, that can kick people...

i would like to think i play regularly enough (i am on that silly list for most time played online).
but i currently have other important things going on in my life that take prevents me from playing cs 24 hours a day (like school..homework..sleep..).
and speaking of school..time for me to go get my books together..

Part of the reason we don't have full admin coverage is a concious decision on my part to limit the number of admins to a controllable amount. You've all played on servers where there are some good admins and some real powertripping a-holes. Believe it or not, I think we have a pretty good crew here and everyone is accountable no matter what it looks like on the outside.
Instead of continually adding new admins, I'd rather rotate out the ones who "never admin" and bring in fresh ones that not only play here, but won't ban someone for personal reasons. Giving everyone admin status just takes the control out of your hands, and besides, you can't kick an AFK admin, bummer.

I agree with Ribs. I have noticed that at least a handful of our admins haven't been seen in-game for a long time. And out of those who DO play regularly, I have seen even fewer who devote any amount of time to actually BEING an admin. Instead, I see them simply playing. There's nothing wrong with that from time to time, but shirking your responsibility to the server is totally not cool. I think it's time to switch things up a bit.

oh and btw trying to make our regulars happy is harder than make a woman happy ....they complain about every map
