Mr. Fast Finger:Guitar Shred Show

Check it out it's pretty funny and makes for a good time. Check out the lesson and jam section. The jam in particular, as there is nothing like cutting heads.

I thought I'd drop it in the same thread just with a different subject. FYI it's a bit of a wait with the pictures (kinda big), but that's the whole point.

Hurricanes are serious business

Though I don't think anyone makes mention of it in that thread, but the other people on the board sent him a replacement amp, seeing as how the one he has now isn't in the greatest of shape. Nice fellows.

thats rediculous...you think just because his disaster wasnt as bad as some of the people (even though his house was destroyed), that he shouldnt recieve any help? Do you expect the people on a guitar forum to buy him a house?

I can't even begin to approach the absurdity of your remark. I'm assuming you just feel like being an asshole because you can't possibly be that ignorant. You obviously don't know what else these people offered to that particular guy and to various organizations dedicated at meeting "real needs".

I just thought the pictures the guy shared of the destruction of his guitars were interesting and I'd pass them along. I also thought it was cool that the one guy had a spare amp, another tubes, and a few more with random parts got together to help this guy get jamming again. Apparently, its wrong to for people on a GUITAR forum to do that.

Because jamming again is gonna rebuild a city, restore an economic disaster that struck the entire nation, and help restore normality to thousands of people who have lost everything...

I am dead serious about this by the way... the priorities that some people have just boggles my mind.

ps - feel free to continue to insult my "ignorant" opinions. for some odd reason you seemed to have taken my view as a personal attack. I'll keep my views towards your ignorant comments to myself.

what can anyone honestly do about that? no feasible amount of money or manpower would help...

its tragic, really, but atleast SOME people are being helped, and thats better than nothing.  And the guy didnt go to the forum begging for new things anyway..it was a genuine act of kindness that got him a new amp

I agree with your statement entirely, just not the people of this particular board. Maybe it's my fault that I didn't explain it fully. Did you get the impression they were collecting money so this guy could buy an amp? That's not what happened and in such a case I'd agree with you.

They offered to help the guy affected in any way possible. He said he was fine and that he'd be alright. Then over the course of him posting it became known that he no longer had an amp. Someone realized they had an identical amp lyring around they didn't play. It needed tubes and they asked if anyone had any lying around. Someone said they did and sent them his way. He fixed the amp up and was going to send it to the guy affected as soon as he had a semi-permanent address. That's just a geniune act of kindness. The guy didn't ask for an amp, they just saw an opportunity to help a guy out.

Unless of course you're hung up on that guy playing his guitar period...
