Tourny Rules Addendum

This is a little update to a section of JB's original post to cover another eventuality (which applies to tonight's match).

"...Players can be added and removed from your roster throughout the run of the league.  If a player is added to the squad during the run of the league he/she cannot play until one day has passed since their addition to the squad; this is to avoid mercing.  Should your team field a player with a SteamID not listed on your roster as of 1 day prior to the match, the match is forfeit as a 1-0 win to your opponents."

Addition: If your team is short of players and none of your reserves can fill in then, with the permission of the opposing captain, you can try and find another player who is not currently listed on your roster. This applies even inside the 1 day limit. Obviously the opposing team must be provided with the Steam ID of the new player. Of course, if the opposing captain would rather take the win than play the match then they are free to do so and the 1-0 forfeited result stands.

This addition is in the interest of keeping fixtures.

Is it acceptable to play the match 2 (or 1) vs. 3? ...or can it simply be rescheduled in case of an emergency for one of the players?

I'm asking solely so the question can be answered, without any connection to the match my team has already played this week. I just want there to be some kind of baseline for future reference.

I think it should be at the discretion of the captains. If they disadvantaged team wants to rock one short, and both captains agree to it, then it should be fine. Again if the captains agree to a reschedule...then it should be fine.

Yeah, definitely. Most rules are pretty much just guidelines - if the captain's agree, they can pretty much do whatever they want.

Let's play a custom map instead.

first off i'd like to thank yuna and the wumpas for having a reschedule after that first fiasco of a match

i think the following is appropriate for situations with missing people:

if the opposing team wishes to, they can offer to go 2 v 2, or even reschedule the match to another date. or they could make them go 3v2. however both teams can agree on. also keep in mind you arent locked down to the 8:00 PM timeslot..if you guys can reschedule to a noon slot if it means there can be 3v3, go ahead

Yeah, that though occurred to me like, RIGHT after the match, and then I felt bad all night. I was really glad that it didn't count, because we really should have offered to play 2v2 to begin with. Playing 3v2 was a jackass thing to do on our part.

And I'm glad that I was able to get it rescheduled with you Deuce.

And even if it didn't count, it was a good way for us to test the matches. We got to see how the knife fights were going to work and how the restarts worked and what-not, so it wasn't all bad.

I do still need to know what time on Saturday you want to play though.

Reschedule is always the best option - there are plenty of times every day when matches can be played.
