Computer help

Wow it's been a while. Anyway i'm having trouble with my computer. Every time i try to open taskmanager/msconfig/regedit (these are the only ones i know of), they open then automatically close. I called a this computer place (s and r computers as most from vt know) and they said yeah it's a virus going around. I've run Avg, adaware and norton 2003 pro and 2004 pro and nothings gotten rid of it. Just wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of it or other programs that might work. caus i don't wana pay like 50 bucks to fix it when it's not destroying my computer (that i know about lol)

ALso keep in mind that running AV software and Adaware in Safe Mode is TONS more effective than normal.

no i can do everything, but open msconfig/regedit/and taskmgr, but in my searches to fix, i found a alternate exe that is the taskmgr if i really need it

wow thanks so much grounded. I had hijackthis but didn't know what to delete, that god dam thing was so annoying, but now it's fixed and it only took 5 min. thanks
