Hey guys is there a program that will turn on my cpu and run a program with out me being home

Fundamental problem: CPUs need to be on to run programs.

Your motherboard may have a feature that powers on at a specified time, but I don't know how likely that would be. Look for it in the BIOS. That would just boot up normally into, presumably, Windows. In Windows, you can add a scheduled task (i.e. program) in the control panel to be run at a specific time. If you set this to happen a minute or two after you boot up, you can acheive the effect.

What kind of purpose did you have in mind?

EDIT: My motherboard will do this, so there is a good chance yours will too.

If you have a Mac, you can do it the easy way (see attached). Otherwise, your BIOS config might have an option you can set to auto-power on. Look for an option named something like "Power On by Alarm" or the likes.

woot it worked thx man .. i  go to work at 6am so i want to set it so that at 8am when my fother is going to work it will turn on so it can connect to mirc, azureus, and msn
