Admins and their DUTIES!

I have no powers here but I am always trying to help in oone way or another and am the voice of the little guy.  I am constantly having people ask me to do Admin duties and have to refer them to an Admin that is on and remind them things!  Please make it clear to me what the rules are and what we are trying to do here at CSR.  Lately we have a lot of people on and a lot of those people are peolpe I have gotten to come here or at least play here agin more.  What is the feeling or what do the Admins believe they are to do about keeping games even.  I am tired of trying to eleviate people playing when they are SCREAMING the teams are uneven!  There are some Admins that consistanly will allow a game to be 2 -15 4 - 16 and not do anything even when promted!  I think cuz I am on all the time a lot of people think the server is mine or I am an admin and complain to me!  Last night the matches were so out of wack and we had 10 on 10.  People were leaving because the one team was getting slaughtered!  I was switching sides and trying to get other to do the same butit was futile, only my clanners would listen.  Zeus you were there and this is not the first time I have seen it so I am curious to what the AAdmins feelings are on this?  If we have people here now should we not focus on trying to keep them here?  A lot of people were complaining I was telling you Zeus and you do nothing?  I have to give Surgeon general props on this subject because he always switches back and forth and keeps games pretty even.  Other Admins this does not seem the case so just let me know what we are trying to do here. I was typing so much last night trying to get the higher scoring guys to switch sides I could not effectively help the teams get even with my playing.  I really found it frustrating to have the little guys crying this suks were getting killed and could do very little to help and had the Admin just ignore everything.  Maybe we do not care here and I am wasting my time but man while the people are here could we not try and make it a cool server where when an admin is around we try to keep the matches pretty even?

Not gonna respond to the rest of it because 1) I'm not on the Admin Team, and 2) I can't play right now even when I want to-- my ping is consistently a number higher than the current year.   Not to mention the fact that I have 65 hours worth of classwork a week.

I agree that every effort should be made to keep teams even, but if no admin is present all you can do is appeal to the other players.

It's not always possible to keep the teams even anyway - if one particularly good player is in the server things are likely to become unbalanced, especially on certain maps. We were playing the other day and one team was all Team.Nm and had fewer players. I asked if they wanted some changes but they wanted to practise as a team which was fair enough.

If I remember correctly your talking about office where I was on the losing team and the way I looked at it was or team had 4 of the top players in the server we where doing good but it is a t sided map and the t•s did a good job protecting objectives.

Ok I see the answer is we are not sure!  Zeus it was three maps in a row and I never saw office so that makes probably 4 in a row.  I also understand some people do not care and want to learn to get better as a team.  I am giving you input from a lot of players last night that were very frustrated, I did all I could by switching to the other team and begging other to do the same.  If this is the answer i am going to ignore the people who are frustrated and just play and not worry about it.

Yeah, if things are getting out of hand and I notice it, I usually try to help the other side out. Though sometimes I'm not really paying attention and I don't notice until somebody says something. If you say something and it's clearly stacked like a delicious hoagie and they're still unwilling to switch then that's pretty low class.  If you constantly have to complain about the teams, it takes all the fun out of it.

Speaking of such matters, is it possible to force auto assign on first connect (afterwards you can switch back and forth freely)? We'll I know it's possible, but is it something easily done?

Dude how did you get admin, large donation!  Orlig was a joke and everybody was complaining both sides, the last map and you were on it was dust I think and same thing.  Either way it's not the first time and I got my answer it's up to all of us to TRY and make it better, I am just gonna play and ignore everybody complaining about even teams.  I try harder than a lot of the admins, for what!?  Do not bother to explain, make excuses, figure this out I got the answer from Porter.  Zeusy is a flousy!

Only because other people join whatever team at the same time.

Random EDIT: In fact, people should step back for a minute and stop playing for their scores. Quit baiting your teamates and stacking teams so you can pad you kill count. The goal for everyone should be to have a good time, not have to sit there and bitch about stacked teams or selfish players. I think some people are playing here for the wrong reasons. I also  think in our attempt to attract people we pushed aside the qualities that made me want to play here in the first place.

I saw a cool T-shirt the other day "winning isn't everything.... wanting to win is"
I'm not that concerned about my score if my team is winning and you're right SG most times randoms will just run about and try to rack up the kills.  Tonight was a good example of how a little teamwork and sticking together can be way more fun that rushing around like a madman.

That's why I do get to play, I LOOOOVVEEE playing with regulars-- especially my Wumpa cohorts. It's soooo much fun to work out a plan of attack (or defense) and actually execute it. Everyone plays for the team, and when it works it makes you feel so good. I play CS for that feeling. In fact, it's the only reason I still play. If CSR wasn't around I'd have quit a long time ago.

I do my admin duties admirably, without exception.  I'd say the same for most of the team other than Grounded who is a wimp and should ban more.

It is impossible to keep the teams even all the time because of so many people popping in for 10 minute spells or retrying or lagging out or going afk.

If your team starts losing round after round then play better.  Try a different route or camp spot or some attempted teamwork or reorganisation.  Even when you're taking a pounding it's easy enough to take someone with you as you go.  If everyone on your team does at least that then you'll start getting money and winning rounds.

If there are heavily uneven teams an admin will spot it.  If there isn't an admin present then try running away and infuriating the evil stackers by not letting them get round after round of kills.  Or buy nothing for 3 rounds then auto-snipe.  That should teach them.

save rounds are key when you are getting hammered by good players.

Once you get your money up you can definitely hang in with some teamwork and strategy against "better" opponents.

I was playing public with SG today and he was playing pretty crappy yet still managed to get banned for being dodgey.  His score was, of course, 3 times as good as mine.  I wish i'd been banned.
