New HLSW beta Available

This is something some of our admins should probably be interested in. HLSW 1.0.0.9b has been released.The big benefit here is Steam support! You can visit the HLSW site here. I have also mirrored the download to CSR, which you can find on our downloads page, you you can just click here.

ahh!
there is no ability to track people by ID... that was what i used HLSW for..
also i cant figure out how to launch a game from it..mainly because i cant find the exe in the steam folder to run off of.
have you figured any of this out yet porter?

Yes, both of these were problems in 1.0.0.8 that have been (kind of) fixed. To be able to launch CS, you need to target this file: Steam/SteamApps/your@email.addressCounter-Strike/hl.exe You should be able to click the "Join" button in HLSW and have it work properly (it does for me).
The ID fix is kind of two-fold. Part of it is server-side and involves a proper LogMod configuration (which I am fairly sure I have set correctly). The second step is that you must right-click on one of the column headers in the Players window of HLSW, and check the "Global ID" item. This is actually the SteamID column. There should also be simply an "ID" option that will show you the unique IDs (we discussed this previously) as well.

ok..i got the game launch to work..
but what is LogMod configuration? is that something i dont have access to?

No, LogMod is a MetaMod plugin that allows multiple people to use rcon effectively at the same time. It's made by the same group that makes HLSW. Like I said before, it's server-side, and nothing you should have to worry about as long as I've set it up correctly.

You don't have rcon access. You need to be able to receive the server log to get SteamIDs.
