Going Away

I have decided that I will be giving up all forms of video games until the end of the semester to make way for my schoolwork, so I will be taking a sabbatical from the server for a bit. (My sabbatical actually started about a week ago in case anyone hadn't noticed)
I am doing a massive group development project for PalmOS which has consumed my life and will continue doing so until April 14th at 5pm. Its a cross-platform instant messaging program which will operate using Bluetooth between Linux PC's running a Java-based client and Palm Tungsten T3 PDAs in a serverless ad-hoc manner. For all you techies, there is also a few fun catches in this system, namely the wireless network traffic will be encrypted with AES, and the transport medium is unreliable, so error detection/correction is needed. It's totally cool, but it is also totally time consuming, as most computery things tend to be in university.
In April, I will definetly be up for some nightly CS-ing again, but until then folks, keep the good times rolling. (I am sure I will still be poking around in the forums though  )

I am very impressed with using the Forum to admit your addiction, that is the first step in the healing part.
I commend your maturity in making this decision and letting us know that if we see you that you should be immediaetly kicked by an Admin. LOL!
Your project sound uber cool and will look so sweet on a resume! Hope you shine like a star on the project like you do here!

I think the real addiction is here is schoolwork. I am a software junkie. Fortunatly it has the side effect of helping my marks. The bad thing is that it tends to impoverish every other aspect of my life.

I tend to be the same way, I'd rather code than pretty much anything else, especially other school work. Unfortunately it doesn't impoverish my life like it does for Terraji, because I don't have time to code lately.
Good luck with your stuff though, you'll definitely be missed here in the mean time.
