My steam isn't working so i exited and logged out and now i can't get in steam.

I was on the steampowered.com forums and apparently there is a "phantom" update. And the steam servers are really bogged down.

Yeah I got all sorts of error messages when I started up my pc and steam loaded for the first time. It failed, I clicked my steam icon, it updated and I was ready to go. Now only if someone would join me in game.....

Ugh. I eventually logged into steam. But there was no update. So i tried to refresh the internet games list to no prevail. But csr still refreshed and i joined game. So far so good until the security module takes 7 minutes to download. So I exited and logged out and tried to join back into steam. Then i got the message, "Problem with your internet connection or the steam network" my guess is the latter. Steam is now officially the worst program i have ever used. I'm guessing this update did nothing. I'm fed up with steam, I will now go and buy UT-2004.

Yes, but this is a new game. It got better reviews than the last two. With an average rating of %94 on gamerankings.com. And so far i am loving it. I never played the previous two so this is completely new to me, that might also be why i am enjoying it so much.
I got my steam working again!
