cs_labassault - good times

I was playing CS last night, and CSR was empty though I sat in the server for awhile (as usual  ). So, I venture out looking for custom/fun/anything other than standard maps. I come across a server (Unknown Admins | All Assaults, or something like that) running cs_labassault  with a bunch of people in it. I join and start playing. After a few rounds, I realize that the admins are giving themselves guns. I'm like "wow, your giving yourselves weapons", and his response was "STFU SURGEON I'M ADMIN". I just kinda laughed at him and kept playing, I wanted to play the map. The admins stacked T and were giving themselves weapons, and then complaining about us not leaving spawn. I told the admins "they were complete jokes" and they threatened to ban me for "being disrespectful". So I'm like go ahead, and they banned me. It was really sad how awful these admins were/are. Be glad you can play here.
So without any place to go or a particular map I wanted to play I go back to CSR. A few people show up and get things going. We eventually get a couple of quality maps of 3v3. Competition was way out of my league with Kaoz, Nittany, Druz, and some random all making apperences. But we were all having a good time. If it weren't for custom maps, I'd never leave.

There are always jackass admins out there that abuse there powers... Kinda sad

Point well taken except here at CSR it is usually always empty, there is plenty of servers out there! Burntoast, meatbarn are alway filled to maximum capacity! The thing to focus on is why have people left and not coming back to CSR!

CSR is usually empty because no one is willing to start a game up. All weekend my friend's list was down, so I couldn't just sit there and spam people until they joined. I just played with my friend where ever he went. We had a decent game going Saturday, that I mentioned in the first post.
CSR has about "15-20" people that show their faces in game about once a week. And that's it. We had more regulars in the past, but its been a long time, and most stopped playing cs. Everybody that played here, enjoyed playing here. You don't get the bs you get on other servers. No abusive admins and people treat each other with respect (for the most part). It's good, clean fun.
The actual point of this thread was to tell Grounded about my adventures on cs_labassault, but if you want to steer it somewhere else, go right ahead. I like change.

I like you Surgeon! Feel free to e-mail me when your playing if friends is down, I will follow you around other servers! 15-20 Regulars is not enough to keep a server full. I do like the no swearing, clean part of the server but that is not enough to keep people around. To think a server that is usually empty and they ban a bunch of us Bs guys who come every night for something as stupid as goofin off for one round, it's really no wonder!

I'm constantly amazed that the CServer download count for labassault is only a few shy of 20000. Just shows you how popular remakes are...even if they are somewhat weak  Good to know some people are getting something out of it though
