cs sprays

1.6 how do you put a spray in
do you convert 2 wad File?
i made a spray (not using WALLY)!!! and i want ot put it in  but i dont know where *(what folder) and what file type

Folder = cstrike
File Name/Type = tempdecal.wad
Why don't you just use WALLY like every other person who's ever made a spray? I believe* you can import images (Like a .jpg or .bmp) into WALLY and it will convert them to a WAD and you should be in business.

i've never used wally and i used to make mad sprays. i made all mine in photoshop and hten had some cs special decal converter. all i did was open the file in it, then save it in the directory

put it in your cstrike...name it tempdecal.wad...set it to read only...and delte your custom.hpk file

no not working ..i dont think it makes a wad file its a pic file ..i rename it and it did not work ....

what animal said should work
After the file has been made you must chance the name of it to tempdecal.wad
Place the file is this location C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\"your-email-account-for-steam"\counter-strike\cstrike
Then you must delete your custom.hpk file for it to work.

In 1.6 it use to work but in 1.6 and up it never worked no mater what program i use... i dont know why

just use wally...its quite easy
this is a good tut ..here.
btw if youre going to put a picture in and you want it to not be blurry...try to keep it at 128x64 or 256x32. if your image does not fit into those dimensions, just resize the entire thing smaller and make the part that you dont want people to see pure blue (0, 0, 255) because the hl1 engine renders (0, 0, 255) as completely transparent
this would be a good example of my current spray before i put it in wally
notice the white edges where there is no picture

rite i use photoshop for all my stuff then u just go to wally and select wizard and the first one is hl color decal select it then set ur cs folder as the c:/valve/steam/steamapps/ursteamname/cstrike then click on harddrive were ever you put the image (i put mine on the desktop) export it as a bmp img selec it dont modify the size and click ok then save it as tempdecal on ur desktop go back to ur cstrike folder and put it in there as tempdecal rite click on it click properties mark it read only then exit out and go for ur counterstrike
*Be sure u do not try to select it from the sprays in multiplayer options if u do u will get ur default spray back*
(i also make custom sprays 4 fun if u want 1 pm and ask)
