Surgeon: I cant find the username "surgeongeneral" when I search.
I now have CS : Source. I havent played it much, but I am not all that convinced yet. I just has a funny feel to it. HL2 is what I am playing through now But if y'all are playing CS: Soruce, I would certainly get into it.

Oh. I'm there.
I sent you a friend request.
Source plays like ass. The hit boxes are so misalligned and nearly everyone is a spawn camping 8 year old that just learned a few four letter words. To its credit it looks spiffy.
HL2 is badass. I proclaim it supreme. It's insanely fun, the physics engine is sweet, the graphics are awesome, and the storyline is semi interesting.

Yeah, I am mega-impressed with HL2. Even though it is totally linear and scripted, It makes you feel like a total baddass everytime you do anything. And the detail of the environments are absurd. In 5 minutes you blow by something that looks like it took 1000s's of hours to make. Thats good gaming.
I had to buy a boxed copy since steam only works with US dollars. Damn shortsighed Americans. (it was cheaper to buy the boxed copy after conversion, 59.99 CAD vs 49.99 USD)

I haven't finished it yet, but my problem with HL2 is that it feels so rushed-- like you're in a race. HL1 encouraged you to move slowly and methodically, because going too fast was likely to get your head lopped off by something nasty. HL2 makes you feel like you're always hurrying, and as a consequence the whole games feels short and cheaper. Though I agree the environments and details are just awesome, you don't get enough of a chance to enjoy them. I already know I'm going to feel disappointed when I finish; as opposed to the exhilaration HL1 produced. It's the difference between, "holy s***, I made it!" and "what?! It's over already??"

I have X-Fire but rarely use it, though I might if you all start. I think my username is "justboy".
