not posted here for a while - so i thought i'd give you a wee story about what happened the other night while i was enjoying some cs (on a uk server - sorry)
well, after playing cs for just over a year now im beginning to feel like i am getting a bit better - however i had a major breakthrough the other day......
on some maps i tend to be consistently ok, while on others like train i tend to be consistently bad.....the reason being......i couldnt figure out how to get enough brightness out of my monitor 
on train especially, i found i could hardly see anything in the darker areas (and there are quite a few of them) but the other day if found that as well as the standard brightness options on my monitor (which i've always had at full) i also have a "display mode" option (or something like that) - putting that to "video night" has made a massive difference
so anyway - i was playing on train and i was the last one left against 4 cts. there wasnt long left in the round and i managed to kill one guy in b (i think its b) who was hiding in the dark (usually i'd have had no hope), next i killed a guy up by the other site (again in the dark area)
so by now im absolutely loving my newly found screen option
but just as im starting to feel like i could maybe win the round - i realise i've got about 30s to get from A, to the bomb (back to the t spawn) and plant - which was not really going to happen with 2 cts left (cos I know at least one of the guys left is pretty good)
anyway as i make my way to the bomb one of the cts (who i know fairly well from playing on the server) types "haha we win". so i just type "lol" and carry on regardless.
just as i get down towards the t spawn he jumps out and starts spraying - but with luck on my side i out spray him and realise i now have like 10s in which to find the last guy...
so i randomly dash up the stairs and the other guy is camping by those boxes on the left - i swung around to pull off a quality hs and win the round with about 2 or 3s on the clock....needless to say i had a fair bit of banter with the guy after his (now) rather rash "haha we win" comment......
anyway in conclusion i finished playing train on a positive score for just about the first time i can remember (15-3 or something) and its all thanks to improved brightness....
btw how is everyone these days???
and yes im well up for the "admin vs game" - if its at a reasonable time for us uk folks....
