Smokey still sucks to all of you!! Especially Deuce... I just remembered how much he totally pwns me!
How is everyone doing? Im addicted to WoW 60 Pally right now, despite the fact that Pallys suck so much (Bubble and Hearth ftw!) wow its alot better than CS right now, but i still suck at both!

Yeah Dex is doing fine... from what at least could see... he's basically off the planet as computer gaming is going now... not nearly as much... he has 42 warlock, i just abuse him for his transmuting abilities now
Yeah, we still bowl made nationals, dex got a $1000 scholarship from this tournament... he beat me by 5 pins that asshole haha, things are going good. We both graduated now... we're not so youngens anymore haha!

Well, let's see. Raven Knight is now known as Phoenix Knight and still plays as often as any of us (which is to say, hardly at all). The server's been mostly dead for a couple months now, but every once in a while we get a good dame going. Last night we got up to 6 on 7 on train actually. Best turn out I've seen in weeks. It seems that you're not the only one who has had other more pressing things to do in their lives.
Aphro I'm afraid has had a falling out with PK (Phoenix Knight) and has more or less fallen of the face of the map (that was a loooong time ago now). Ryo is living in Tokyo, and doesn't play much any more.
As for me, I've just recently gotten my bachelor's degree in Computer Science (fat lot of good it's doing me at the moment though what with the crappy job market). I don't remember exactly how long it's been, so I don't know if you were ever introduced to yu^rei and Yuna (who are "long time friend from high school/roommate" and "girlfriend" to me).
If you've been perusing the boards, than you may have also seen that most of us have succumbed to either World of Warcraft or Guild Wars (the Wumpas to the latter).
That's about all I can think of for now. It's good to hear from you!

BTW, I've been trying to game with you guys; unfortunately, I work for IBM now, working 12 hour night shifts so it's nearly impossible to have any semblance of life.  In the next two months I'll be looking for day work again so I'll hopefully get some weekend CSing in again.
I did catch up with the WUMPAS the other day, first time playing CS in at least a year, and I had a 3:1 ratio even with SG on the other team. Sukkas.
PS: I tried World of Warcraft to get some ideas on how to improve the NWN server I'm on, and I think the GAME is awesome...too bad 90% of the players are morons or gold farmer bots. I did find some RPers though, surprise surprise, and if you actually watch what you're doing instead of just grinding through the missions, there is a great plot in the game, the map is huge and fun to explore, be cool if they had RP servers you had to apply to enter, keep out the riffraff. Anyway, I had fun trying all the horde races, and if I could move to the Underground capital of the undead, I'd be a happy puppy.

To be honest Ribs, you haven't missed too much around here. There's been a decent revival lately, but for the most part it's been darned quiet. Most people seem to be playing that scourge WoW, but the Wumpas have been quite taken by Guild Wars instead (none of us have the disposable income to pony up every month for an MMO with a subscription fee). There's actually a great thread discussing the game's plusses and minuses that's worth a peruse. We managed to get SG and Skip playing too, which has to say something.
We would also appreciate your input on this, if you have any, in the next few days.
PS: Hooray for day jobs!

I don't like the thought that there's an FF game I could play but haven't And I was thinking about Guild Wars too...but I suspect it'd end up consuming inordinate amounts of time. Plus I'm not a huge fan of the painfully cliched fantasy world. (btw it's only •18 from Play.com...tempting...)

I thought I couldn't go wrong with FFXI because after all it was a FF game. I'll be honest, if it hadn't said FF on the front of the box I wouldn't have known it. The typical FF plot was no where to be found. If it was there, it had to have been after level 15, because that's about as far as I made it in about a month.
The game is nothing more than waiting around and looking for a party and then going out and leveling for hours. There is no sense of accomplishment in the game (at least none that I found).

For what it's worth, I think Guild Wars is probably one of of the more "comfortably" fantastic worlds. Sure there are dwarves and dragons and stuff, but it's all done rather well, IMHO (and more importantly, not OVER done.)

Howdy Grail!
It has really been far too long since we last fragged together man. I played last night for the first time in probably 6 months and boy am I rusty--of course, with your playing WoW so much we *might* be on even ground.
As for hearing from Aph: well, if you want a longer story I could give you one but I won't pollute the boards with that. The last time we spoke was over a year ago and it wasn't exactly--...friendly. Who knows, you might have better luck than me (if you know how to reach her). Unfortunately, I'm probably not the best go-between to get you talking to her.
All the same, I hope all is well with you and maybe we'll get a chance to frag a little in the not-so-near-but-hopefully-not-too-distant-future!
