Liking what I've seen!

I downloaded the four maps you suggested (Grounded) and so far I've had a look at cs_reloaded_b2 which I have to say was nice! Well done to all involved.
I do have a question though....what is the best way to look at the maps? The way I did it was to copy the files into the Maps folder for my version of CS. Is there anyway you can look at them using Steam in Offline mode? If so how can you do this and is it worth while? Will the other 3 maps be ok to do in the same way as I did the first one? I did notice that some of them had slightly more files to be coppied across.
Also I noticed that one of the maps included some sort of bots folder - how can I set up the bots?
Sorry for complete ignorance, I know I'm being lazy cos I could probably figure it out for myself eventually but I'm taking the easy route out

Have you still got CS1.5 installed anywhere on your comp? If you do then go to http://podbot.nuclearbox.com/ and download PodBot which will then let you play with bots. I tried running one of the maps in Steam's offline mode the other day but it didn't work - I think some bugs are still being worked out. cs_reloaded_b2 should also work in CS1.5 but b3 won't because it uses transparent models from CS1.6.
As for installing the maps, they should all be set up to extract automatically using Winzip. For example, you should set cs_reloaded_b3.zip to extract to ...Steam/SteamApps/youremail/counter-strike/ and put the 'Use folders' option on and all the files will automatically go to the right locations. remy and thinktank should be similar but I haven't looked at them for a while!

I've never had CS1.5 - all I'm using is the original cd retail version. The graphics are a bit poor cos it doesnt support high resolutions and anything less than 1280*1024 looks really funny on my nice new flat screen monitor!! I just tried remy and thinktank and they were nice as well. Thinktank was good cos its nice and bright and I dont like maps being too dark but i think remy was definately the better of the 2 overall.
You were right about cs_reloaded_b3 though - it wont work the way im doing things, but then it wouldn't work with 1.5 anyway so i'll wait.
I take it it does work with 1.6 somehow (just that the others wont - is that right?)

No they'll all work in 1.6 To play them through Steam you need to go Games then Launch Game... on Counter Strike. Pick New Game and then set up the map to be whatever you want.
