***SCANDAL***

Grounded has been working on another map while cs_reloaded is still unfinished!! Even bigger scandal - so is Deuce, but that's another story I'm sure you'll hear all about very soon

This was just something I started a week or so ago as a kind of exercise in various bits and pieces of mapping technique. It's a pretty small map and I have no idea how it will play but here it is anyway

Wow it looks good for the most part from the pics i'de say this was one of your better maps but i have yet to see it in game so i dont know just yet

I hereby suggest (and will "declare" if nobody agrees with me!) "Custom Map Mondays". Let the rest of the week be whatever people want, but after cs_reloaded and these other fine maps are done, let's give them one day. We can build a single map pack containing all the maps for that day, and make the rotation ONLY maps that are truly unique to CSR. We almost have enough of them to do that now!

map looks good.  I don't know how you what you were aiming for.  But i think that if each side runs that the confrontation should be at the water.  From the looks of that pic it needs to be more diagonal (tiled the top to the right)  But thats just my idea and i'm sure that would take tons of work.

But it looks ill (man haven't used that sick word in a while)  but i'm giving my opinon, i won't be offended if you don't change it.

You guys should make maps remaking famous battles. That would be so awesome. ie. The Alamo Wow those screenshots are amazing.

Yeah biggums I think you're right. Some of the Ts actually spawn at the big waterfall area too. This was intentional though - I wanted it to be a smallish map and also for the action to begin very quickly as it often can in as_oilrig. I definitely think it needs a few more tweaks layout wise but I want to test it as it is right now before I go and make any more changes. Playtest anyone?

Aha, clearly influenced by my own de_yard  , you're definitely coming along with the mapping brother.  Oh and if we're going to recreate good fights could we have something better than The Alamo.  PanchoDaz's brother had an awesome fight which involved a village street brawl, a bite, and fighting inside a car.  Hmph, if there isn't a movie about it, then apparently it's not worth knowing...

I once was a victim of an attempted mugging when I was delivering pizzas could we make a map about that?

MAp looks really nice, look forward to playin it!  I am looking forward to just getting on CS anytime and seeing players.  I go every week-end with only people on maybe late at night, what is up with that?

Somewhere along the line this thread took a wrong turn...

Yeah if we could have another custom map night that would be cool. Needs to be 'registering' and confirmations like before though to try and maximise attendance.

I was thinking more permanently. Like: the mapcycle for Monday--every Monday--is just all maps that are unique to CSR.

It would be cool to have a 'CSR day' but I can't imagine enough people downloading the maps to justify it. I suppose it couldn't hurt to try though The only other problem might be that most of the maps in the list are betas or unfinished versions.

Well apparently our rotations are so bad right now it wouldn't matter! What's one day anyway? *I* would play that day, and that's ALL that matters.

I'd play for that day. It is unfortunate that there hasn't been a good base of regulars on with any sort of consistancy lately. Thats why the rotations aren't working.
