de_remy_b3

A quick check on the downloads page shows that de_remy_b2 was added on 9th March 2003 and it probably predates that by a couple of months too at least. So finally, here is de_remy_b3 with the obligatory plethora of tweaks and visual improvements. Who doesn't like breakable wine bottles eh? Am I right?
No time to make pics right now - just download and get to work finding all the niggly little errors that I probably missed.

We found a couple of visual mistakes already but they don't really affect things so I'm not going to change the bsp until final. If anyone spots any more serious mistakes then let me know

Darn it, now I really have to find some time to play. I'm giving fair warning now-- next time I'm on the server I'm changing it to remy 3 one way or another.

Looks sweet and Porter you do that man! Great work can not wait!
On another topic this word you used niggly, is this a made up word? I think if it is a new word be a better person and stop using it, I find it to be very deragatory! It is to close to a nasty word that should never be used by anybody!

'niggly', derived from 'niggle', is not a made up word.
Oxford Concise definition:
1. be over-attentive to details 2. find fault in a petty way 3. irritate; nag pettily - a trifling complaint or criticism; a worry or annoyance
In my original post, I used it in the 3rd sense. Hope that clears it up.

Changes have been made - Bootcamp didn't want to test it until the bombsites were more clearly signposted. I've added a bunch of decals, fixed some texture glitches, and made one or two cosmetic alterations that nobody will probably even notice I've changed the map on the server too, so you need to delete the old bsp and wad from your comp if, for some insane reason, you want to play it. Hopefully it'll appear in next week's Bootcamp maptest

Grounded even in seeing it's a real word with all the slang now a days you never know. I would suggest that with all the chances for it to be taken as maybe a slang is it really worth explaining to everybody. I would also ask with the many possibilaties of mis understanding and the negative tone it carries that it is not really needed to be added back to our vocabulary. Ask yourself how often you here it and why that may be?

I would venture to say that niggly is a part of Grounded's vocabulary. Those Gents across the pond have a much different lingo than us you know. For instance if I said I'm going out tonight to see if I can "pull a fit cracker". Now to those of us in the USA that sounds quite odd but I'm sure Grounded, Justboy, and our other members over there know precisely what I'm saying. Although I'm not quite sure I know what I just said. I believe it has something to do with hooking up with a hottie though.

"Pull a fit cracker" eh? That's a new one
For the record, 'niggly' is used very often in Scotland, including on national news broadcasts - usually in the sports segment. The sharing of letters with a particular derogatory word is entirely coincidental much as 'shot' is similar to certain other word...

That's the point I was trying to make. Except I was trying to be humorous as well.

Take it or lerave it defending it and arguing with me show's your incensitivity! Wan't to use feel free it was some friendly advice, you ultimately decide what kind of human being you wan to be. Since it is not a common word here and with the name it so closely resembles is very negative I, would never use that word.

It seems to me, you're implying he's a bad human being for using a word whose definition is not offensive and because it resemebles an offenseive word? So therefore, all those newscasters and every other person who uttered "niggly" or "niggle" are going straight to hell just because it shares a few of the same letters?

I myself would find another word to describe what how I was feeling, not everybody is like me. If it is more important to you to use this word it's your life not mine. I am a lot more sympathectic and curtious when using words that MIGHT be taken wrongly!
