Okay, I'll admit, we haven't played this map on CSR for a while, and I didn't object at all when i saw it on Grounded's Map List, but this map blows.
CTs are limited to all of two entry points into the plane if they don't want to injure themselves. The cockpit injuries you and makes ALOT of noise, and the other point essentially filters into a redundant entrance (the boarding hall). Leaving the risky climb down the pipe or the long walk down through the red area(not straight forward) to get in through the cargo door... so there's boarding hall or cargo door.
You can shoot people from halfway across the map merely be floating your cursor over the curtain, and waiting til you see someone's name pop up...
One or two good T's can block both those enterances I mentioned, with another one in the stairs (effectively blocking the last two hosties), and the CTs don't stand a chance. Not to mention if a couple of fast terrorists rush out, the CTs have no cover to hold said rush.
though i was originally interested in you possibly making a militia remake, for the love of god, if you have some time, fix this nasty excuse for a map could you grounded? heheh, I'd try, but you'd do nothing but laugh at my pathetic excuse of map making.

Yeah it's no mystery, cs_747 is a CT nightmare but I do like the challenge. If you think it's too unfair at one point in a game - I'd suggest joining T and encouraging rushes to get it more into the open.

when did the new lists go live? i was playing it just last night with PK. Either that, or i'm dreaming...could happen, after all who thinks PK really plays anymore

I was playing it too - I assumed you voted it up. Of course I think it still appears in the basic mapcycle.txt - right now we're not sure exactly how the server is selecting nextmaps...

well, i'd still like to see a grounded re-map, but that's only cause i'm greedy, and I'm glad you're aware that it is randomly showing up...

A remap would take ages and I'm winding down my 1.6 mapping. Need to get HL2 and start relearning...

I always like playing 747 as a CT. It takes a good team, but it's fun to sweep through the plane and mow down Ts as you go. The map is biased towards the Ts of course, but lots of maps aren't "fair" like that (militia, backalley, you could probably even argue that office is T-biased. 747 is just a unique challenge, like JB said, and personally I enjoy it.

I don't mind playing it either. No one ever plays it though, as with quite a few of the maps. It sucks because there are some that are really good maps but people will not join or just leave. So many people are stuck on dust2, aztec, and militia. After you have played it five hundred thousand times it gets old. That is what inspired me to try and map. The need for new enviroment with more strategic qualities.

I find 747 is just too hard for CTs. I hate the curtains separating the sections - it's virtually impossible to make sure the next area is clear before moving in.
