hey guys, I have opened a new CS:S server with a friend of mine

We just opened it up yesterday so we are working to build a good source community. I know most of you are die hard 1.6 lovers, but if you do have source and play it from time to time, please stop in or add it to your server list as I would love to play with some of you people again.

Cool. Though I'm skeptical playing on servers where people can donate and get admin access.

well that isn't exactly the case

while we are always going to be looking for help in keeping the server going, there is no way in hell we would give admin to just anyone. Its also a limited set. No banning, some will not even have kick ability. Just change map etc..

Sounds awesome Fotty! one of the biggest downsides to Source for me is that I havent found a server that isn't filled with jackasses. That and my computer isnt all that fast, but I'm working on that one. I will defenetly drop in when I get the chance.

I ordered a new video card today, a geforce 5500 256 mb.
Only two steps remaining before my Awesomely Rediculous Midrange Gaming Rig is complete:
1) Buy a hard drive with more than 1mb of cache (likely next weekend)
2) Butter up my girlfriend to trade me her athlon xp 2400+ which she uses to surf the net on dial-up for my athlon xp 1600+ which I base my existance wholly around (date undetermined)
regardless of the completion of the above two steps, once my card arrives, I shall be able to give CS:S a serious go at a decent frame rate
