Disable lastinv or shield?

I am going to try to make this clear. There is a bug in 1.6 that allows a player to crash a server by using a shield, grenade, and the lastinv command.
In order to protect our server from this exploit, we need to disable either the shield, or the lastinv command. I will be testing a weapon restrictions plugin in a few days that will open the option of choosing which one of these two things to disable. This is ONLY until Valve patches the bug that causes the crash!
You also need to understand that having BOTH the shield and the lastinv command available right now is NOT an option. One or the other MUST stay disabled until Valve fixes the problem on their end. It is up to you (the community) to let us know which one you prefer to have ahead of time (before the weapon restriction plugin is active).
Keep in mind that when weapon restrictions are confirmed to be working properly, the AWP will be re-banned. That fact may affect your decision above.

This poll will close either: as soon as weapon restrictions are functional again, or one week from now-- whichever is longer. The restrictions could be ready in as little as 6 hours from now or as long as a couple weeks. Either way, vote quick.

the shield adds an "interesting" dynamic, no one doubts that it changes the game drastically (for better or worse is open to debate), but the lastinv command just seems like a staple to me, and to alot of other players, it is obnoxious for something I think we could do without. If the bug is fixed, I'm not sure I'd have a probably re-evaluating whether or not the shield should or should not be on the server, but at this point in time, my vote is to kill the shield, it has too many problems right now.

That's not entirely helpful. Care to expound on that for us so I can correct my mistakes?

I do also want to add something. This doesn't mean the Shield will not end up getting banned anyway at a later date. This poll is JUST to cover the server-crash bug. If and when that is worked out and we have the option to restore lastinv without fear of crashes, we will re-evaluate whether the shield should be banned or not sheerly on the grounds of CSR policy and opinion.

I didn't want to give out the answer because when you get out in the real world there isn't always going to be someone to answer every single one of your questions.

Well I don•t mind having the shield because in other servers that I play in I use it and like it but in csr there is more teamwork and it can make it difficult for t•s to complete there objectives.

I'm not sure I agree or disagree with that yet Zeus, but I think the issue here is still the amount of BUGS over anything else. If I'm not mistaken, the question is more whether the shield brings enough bugs to the table to temp ban it or not.
Perma banning it is still on debate.

Complete wouldn't exactly be the word for it. I've been keeping up with it's progress in the AdminMod boards, and in the past week alone it has gone through 3 beta revisions. I can't even keep up with getting the latest versions compiled and installed on the server (much less tested) before the author has released a new version to fix another problem. There are issues too, since it's still beta. Sometimes the restrictions "fall through" and end up banning the glock only. Weird stuff. As soon as I can, I'll get it working though.

This poll is closed. I have gotten weapon restrictions re-enabled, and the poll indicates people would rather be able to use the lastinv command over the shield. I have banned both the AWP and the shield, and re-enabled the lastinv command. You can see the news post here.
