Testing Authoring Permissions

So anyone can read this board (which is good), and anyone can post replies to this board (bad because we want these article to stand on their own), and only Moderators of this board can create new threads here (good, but defining the "Content Author" membergroup for that would be better).

Is the yabb plugin by that one guy on yabbs board installed yet? It looks like his plugin would walk along what you want to set for permission levels nicely. Lastly, you could always LOCK the topics that you dont want replies to.

I think you're talking about "Allowed Users 1.2". I've already investigated it, and right now isn't full-featured enough to control access exactly they way we want. I've also already put in requests (and had some repsonses) for new mods that would help us out with a number of things on these boards.

The other thread, about setting up HLDS is the kind of stuff we plan on putting here. How to make custom sprays, how to edit your config.cfg, how to tune your connection for best playability-- anything that has to do with learning about how Half-Life and CS work is fair game. If anybody wants to write an article for CSR, even if it's not about CS, PM me please.
