Remember those slackware problems??

Well I think I figured out why we were having half of our trouble...I'm just suprised my burning software didn't scream and yell at me. It turns out the .iso image for Slackware 9.0 ends up being about 665MB worth of solid information once it is on a disk. The problem is that if you burn that to a 650MB CD-RW that isn't formatted properly, you'll loose the last 15MB or so, or get an unreadable format...hence why half of my computers could read it, and half couldn't...As I pulled out the CDs that I burned over the summer when we tried putting it on my laptop, I noticed they were CD-RWs, and figured that was half the problem. I've downloaded a new iso, and am going to try it on a normal CD-R and hope that this solves some of my problems. We'll see how it goes...and just thought you'd get a good laugh at me...

Wouldn't hurt to make sure it's a 700MB disc.

the new CD-R's i'll be using are 700MB...now i just have to get nero to recognize my rom. BTW, that was my point Slight, I didn't even realize before that they were 650MB blanks....I like never use those, and didn't even know that I had them...which is why I never even thought that could be a problem. I didn't think that it would even let me try and burn 665MBs to a 650MB disk, I thought it checked for things like that.
