UPDATES!

Hey guys im trying to update my cs... SLOWLY but it needs to be done.
I Have cs but i only have the patches/updates up to 1.0.0.3 and i need the rest.!!!!
now everywhere i go says that i need steam, well i have steam i turned it on put it on cs and it said updating the game but i didnt change anything like what version it was (ex. 1.3, 1.4, 1.5) i need THESE <<<<<<< And some of the places i have visited that have these update and all freaking NOT WORKING or NOT FOUND or ITS JUST CRAP!$*()!Y%_)!#Y% now if anyone can help me in any way please that would be awesome, and if not i think ill just have to put the mouse to my head and pull the trigger!

or do i just do one of the full updates like cs 1.5 full that is 116 megs and would take me all night and that updates all the way up to 1.5 no matter what version im at.(ie 1.3)

Download steam. Don't bother updating 1.whatever. That's how I installed CS on my laptop.

Download the Steam+cache file and that's all you need.

Yeah, that will work, or you can download the files for CS through steam. Either way works and works well suprisingly.

i have steam, or the steam that came with cz anyway. i put steam on and then clicked it to cs and it did this whole updating thing but my cs did not change at all???!

You don't use the old icons anymore. You launch cs through steam. In fact you don't need your old install of cs anymore.

Guys I have a buddy who just got CS and he installed evrything but when he hits the elbow the steam icon it says it can not connect to Steam? Any suggestions?
