Half-Life2 Issues

Ok i am having issues as you can see. I had to reinstall it because my C drive cant find it anymore since i tried moving it over to D where my new one is and things are just getting screwed up wont let me install it at all now... just get this stupid error.. I dont know what it means by "new software" that was just installed..

What exactly did you do? You tried moving what over? The entire steam folder?

Yes i did move over my steam folder but half-life2 is the only thing that wont work i am able to play regular cs dod etc...i got a 80gig harddrive so i need to saver the space..

Well you can't just move programs around. Windows has this wonderful thing call the REgistry. It's like a database built into Windows that programs use to keep track of where all their parts are. If you move the wrong thing, the Registry keeps pointing to where it USED to be, and not where you put it. It's a crappy system, but that's what you get with Windows, and you gotta play by the rules if you expect your system to keep working. You should have uninstalled the program from the "Add/Remove Programs" control panel *first*, and *then* reinstalled it in the new location. The only thing I can suggest now is to try moving the HL2 folder back to where it was on your C drive, and *then* try uninstalling.
