On my OTHER machine, i run a 9800 pro graphics card. i get NO DISPLAY on the monitor ------------------------------------------------------------ power light is on the monitor and it says "check signal cables blah blah blah" the FAN on the 9800 pro works and everything has power.
im guessing monitor cables ..unless even though the graphics card fan is operating, the card is bad? i tried searching the problem on google but people just kept trying 2 sell me crap
:>(
help plz.

Well, I don't know what your monitor is, but on mine I have to press a button to switch between DVI and analog inputs. That seems to obvious but maybe?

Yes, on my monitor. If your monitor doesn't support DVI then it isn't your problem.
Edit: we ruled that out.

I had this problem...i got a new (read: tricked ATI into sending me another) gfx card and it worked fine...just make sure that when you put it in you ground yourself
and also make sure that you have the power cables (molar cables?) on the gfx card plugged in
and also make sure that you have enough power to turn everything on...
good luck

But it also could be the processor, is bad its either the processor or the video
and i don't wanna screw my guessing up and get the wrong thing and have it still not work cause then some 4 letter words would be coming out, and more money spent
