PC Trackpad Scroller

In case it's not clear...a trackpad scroller is the jobber on the right that is kinda like a mouse wheel. Apparently you can turn them off, but i need to know how to turn them back on. Since it's windows, apparently you don't just go to the mouse control panel Anyone know how to resolve this? Would really appreciate it.

Synaptic is the company that makes these trackpads-- or at least, the most common company. They might have drivers.

I would try disabling/removing your mouse driver, and then let windows autodetect the hardware by rebooting or doing the add/remove hardware thingie.
Since the mouse driver will be gone for a little bit, I would reccomend having a USB mouse handy

Actually, after talking to him, I think what you were thinking was right. I told him to update the drivers too.

I've yet to actually see the machine again since the problem occured, but they claim that there is something in the sysTray to fix this, i've yet to confirm that, and i'd swear i looked there and found nothing regarding their mouse there. We'll see.
