PopUPS ARG!

Hey, if anyone has any ideas on how too get rid off these stupid internet popups mabey you can help me get a program or somthing dont care what i have too do i just want them gone! cause they have really been getting bad lately just really ticks me off somtimes  ....

Lots of ways actually.
1st) check for spyware on your PC thats where a good deal of pop-ups come from
Good site for checking for spyware and doesn't require you to install any software is http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/
2nd) pop up stopers can be found on www.downloads.com usually. Or if your really brave IE 6.0 has a built in option to block sites (be warned it doesn't work very well)
3rd) MyIE2 great browser it works just like IE cept more robust and auto pop up stopping software built in. Also it has tab window browsing. Very very nice software and only a meg or two. No install required.

If you're talking about the little grey boxes that pop up randomly, those can be stopped by turning off the messenger service and setting it to start manually. 
Start-programs-admin tools-services-right click on the messenger service and set to start manually.
Alternatively, you can go start-run and type 'net stop messenger'

Not working to stop msn popups.. Slight was right but didnt explain it right.
Windows XP
Click on the Start button and open the control panel.
Open the Performance and Maintenance control panel and go to Administrative Tools.
Now double-click on Services, then scroll to Messenger.
Double-click Messenger and click Stop to stop the service.
Change the startup type to Disable and click Apply at the bottom.
Click OK to exit window.
Windows 2000
Click on the Start button -> Settings -> Control Panel.
Double click on Administrative Tools.
Now double-click on Services, then scroll to Messenger.
Double-click Messenger and click Stop to stop the service.
Change the startup type to Disable and click Apply at the bottom.
Click OK to exit window.
Worked fine for me!
