I posted here a long time ago about my computer wouldn't go into hibernation mode - now I found out why...I have approx. 200 mb free space on my windows partition, but aparrently I need some 750mb of free space to be able to enter hibernation mode - why is that?? Howcome I need free space for that??

Yeah, that'll do it. I really don't know why it is, but I'm guessing it backs everything up before it goes into hibernation so it's quick to start back up. Just a guess though

Hibernation copies everything in both memory and swap onto your hard drive, and then powers down your system. 750 MB is probably for 256 MB RAM and a 512 MB swap file. When you power your system back on, everything on the drive is then copied back into memory and swap exactly as it was before.
