that's ususally one of two problems...
either a- the model file is corrupt, because the modeling stinks, or the file is too big / too small. (you can alter size, but as I understand it, only so much).
B - realize that reload times have also changed for several of the weapons, so if you're using a 1.5 skin, and the animation time is different for the reloads, the file will look corrupt.
Just some ideas though,

The file consistency thing is what caught my attention. Quake 3 has a way of running a "pure" server, which means you have to be using the EXACT same file set as the server is using in order to connect. I haven't read any documentation on this being added to 1.6, but if anyone can find a cvar that controls something like this, I'll give you +5 GGz.

I got this from the game-fusion forum it should help you put you cs 1.5 skins into your cs1.6
The following tutorial covers how to get Steam working with Fusion Pack. The methods described can also be used in conjunction with other custom replacements and 3rd party mods.
FUSION PACK AND CS 1.6
UPDATE: Fusion Pack v11 Player Models are now available for download and use within Counter-Strike 1.6. Get them here:
http://www.games-fusion.net/filedb/pafiled...ion=file&id=742
The following information describes how to get Fusion Assault v3.0 running with Steam and CS 1.6. This method has not yet been tested with all of Games Fusion•s Fusion Pack•s but is believed to work with most.
Due to the changes implemented in Counter-Strike v1.6 and the way in which Fusion Assault v3.0 has been designed for use with CS 1.5 it is impossible to get the complete set of features from Fusion Assault v3.0 working with CS 1.6.
At present we have only been able to get weapon models, sounds and sprites working with Steam and CS 1.6. In order to implement these features you will need to do the following:
1) Before you can continue to transfer files you will first need to install and setup Steam and CS 1.6. 2) If you have not done so already join a normal game of CS 1.6 and then exit. This will copy the files and folders needed for the next few steps. 3) Locate your previous Counter-Strike installation with Fusion Assault v3.0 installed. Make sure you have not altered your old CS installation any further. You can also install Fusion Assault v3.0 into a temporary location. 4) Find your old cstrike directory and sub folders. This can be found in X:\SIERRA\Half-Life\cstrike (MOD Install) or X:\SIERRA\Counter-Strike\cstrike (Retail Install). 5) Locate your new Steam install and go to SteamApps\<your email address>\counter-strike\cstrike. 6) Go to your old Counter-Strike install and copy the folders models, sprites and sounds to the Steam cstrike folder. 7) Now it•s time to delete some files from the Steam cstrike sub folders. Open up the models folder and delete the folder called •Player•. You will also be required to delete all models starting with P_ in the models folder. 9) Open up the sounds folder and delete everything apart from the •Weapons• folder. 10) Finally download and install cheating death. You can get cheating death at this URL: http://www.unitedadmins.com/files/cd-clien...nt-4_4_0-en.exe
You should now have a pretty cut down version of Fusion Assault v3.0 but at least it now works with CS 1.6! Try doing this with other Fusion Pack•s and let us know if they work ok!
Please note that this is just a temporary solution to getting rid of all those nasty CS originals. Games Fusion will be releasing fully compatible versions of its Fusion Pack•s within the next few weeks.
You can download Fusion Assault v3.0 here:

3rd PARTY MODS AND ADD-ON'S
Update: Due to Counter-Strike 1.5 using the older WonID system it will not work with Steam. You can still however play Counter-Strike 1.5 until the WonID system is completely abolished in 2 - 3 weeks time. Counter-Strike 1.5 and Fusion Pack for CS 1.5 will still work over Lan games after the WonID system goes down. You can also install Counter-Strike 1.5 and Fusion Pack for CS 1.5 into Steam and play a LAN game!
You can download Fusion Assault v3.0 here:
http://forums.games-fusion.net/index.php?s...?showtopic=1236
In order to get 3rd party MOD's working with Steam you will need to do the following:
We have used The Specialists MOD as an example in this tutorial.
1) First install and setup Steam. 2) Now install The Specialists MOD 2.0 to <Steam location>\SteamApps\<your email address>\Half-Life\. 3) Check your installation to make sure you havn•t made any duplicated directory•s. Your directory structure should be <Steam location>\SteamApps\<your email address>\Half-Life\TS\. 4) Now install any Fusion Pack to <Steam location>\SteamApps\<your email address>\Half-Life\. 5) Finally download and install cheating death. You can get cheating death at this URL: http://www.unitedadmins.com/files/cd-clien...nt-4_4_0-en.exe
The same principle mentioned above applies for any other 3rd party mod, such as Front Line Force. You can also continue to use your custom replacements!
STEAM AND CUSTOM REPLACEMENTS
In order to get Steam working with custom replacements, such as sprites, models, sounds and maps you will need to do the following:
1) First install and setup Steam. 2) Install your 3rd party MOD, for example The Specialists or Counter-Strike 1.5. To do this install to <Steam location>\SteamApps\<your email address>\ 3) The install procedure should have setup the MOD similar to that of the standard Half-Life install. You can now move custom replacements over to the folders as you would have done before with the older install setup. 4) In order to replace models in Counter-Strike 1.6 you will need to create the folders yourself. For example if you wanted to replace a weapon model you would create the folder •models• (located under <Steam location>\SteamApps\<your email address>\Counter-Strike\cstrike\) and then move the new model into that folder. If you do not have the sub folders first start up a game of CS 1.6 and then exit.
KNOWN ISSUES WITH CUSTOM REPLACEMENTS
Remember that not all replacements are supported under CS 1.6. Here•s what we know so far:
1) Player view models (P_ models) will most likely not work in CS 1.6 as you will get a file consistency error. 2) Player models will work but you will find that the death animations will revert to a swimming animation. It looks funny in game but not exactly realistic . 3) Custom VGUI and Shell GFX will not work in Counter-Strike 1.6 as they use different functions. 4) Some custom sounds will not work in game and will most likely boot you from any server you join. 5) Custom weapon models for Counter-Strike 1.5 should work in CS 1.6 but they will most likely flip to left hand view.
