Pistols

Hey guys, i know i'm thinking up stuff and letting you guys think about programming them, but i was on the server this afternoon, and some guys wanted to play pistols, i had no problems with that at the time, but i had no way of enforcing people to use pistols. would it be hard to get a pistol vote deal, or can we already do that, and i just don't know about? do we even want a pistol vote? i dunno, i just thought i'd throw the idea out on the board and see what happens.

There is already a command for this :
admin_pistols toggles pistols only only buying on and off.
I'll have to do a bit of research before I can tell you if it is on the server, and if you have access. For now it looks like a no and no.

The plugin has already been loaded and is active. Admins with level 1 access can now start a admin_vote_pistols (use responsibly please!) and full admins should have access to admin_pistols 0|1 which will force pistols-only off|on respectively. I believe this plugin also includes votes for a number of other things (like rifles only if I'm not mistaken) so check your admin_help to be sure of what has been added.

correction: "admins with level 1 access".
All clients have level 1 access on this server to my knowledge.
its in the server.cfg file.
Allow public voting 1 | 0
On this server its set to 1.
so any joiner can initiate a vote.

No, public level 1 access has been revoked. And it's not in the server.cfg. This is AdminMod we're talking about.
