just wondering if the admins are thinking about banning the auto snipers, or unbanning something or what, just seems very unfair

The people that OWN property in South Burlington, who PAID for Deuce's/biggum's english classes, and RUN the school board want their graduates to have GUM. Don't expect it though.
And I won't bring it up again... it is a waste of time.

I just want to tell my feeling about the Auto here.
Personally I don't think it should be banned, why, because it's a gun like any other gun. Yes this is an easy gun to use, but it will never be as worst as the AWP. You don't always get one shot kills with the auto sniper. You can actually reply to an attack from it if you are fast enough.
If auto gets ban, why don't we ban guns like the m4 or ak47? You can do one shot kills with these guns too. See my point? Oh and ban the scout, everybody abuse of it in scoutzknivez!  I happen to die a lot with the auto sniper too. I see peopel owning with it and people not owning with it. I like it, Deuce is auto-sniper whore, so what? I'm gonna say my simple sentence.
It's a game!!!!!
The gun is part of the game and isnt unbalancing the game at all!!! Only one team can have this auto-sniper. CT's have one, less accurate one but it does big dmg too, I am able to own with it too. AWP was both teams and getting AWP wars sometimes. Not this gun. If you just can't handle a gun, well why do you play the game at all? It's part of it so live with it! I'd say same about AWP but the point is closed about that and I don't want to argue about this.
Yes you gonna say the gun is for noobs and all, so am I noob because I'm using it? If that's what you think well I can live with that and I hope you happy to think that I'm a noob. The game isnt about stats, it's about fun and that gun isnt really killing fun like the awp use to do.
Anyway, I only hope it won't get ban.

Quantitative argument for keeping the current state of affairs:
On our weapon stats page the CT Auto accounts for 1.93% of kills and the T Auto accounts for 3.21% of kills.
Here is a sample of what I found on other servers HL stats pages:
(some of them were out of date i.e. fiveseven had more kills than the auto snipes)
server #1) AWP-> 17.15% (before update)
server #2) AWP-> 11.56% T-> 2.44% CT-> .81%
server #3) AWP -> 23.13% (before update)
server #4) AWP -> 18.03% (before update)
server #5) AWP -> 16.41% T->1.75% CT-> 1.05%
server #6) AWP -> 14.14% T-> 1.43% CT-> 0.53%
AWP and Auto Snipers are clearly not equal and can not be compared in the apples-to-apples sense.
The problem most of us have is dying in one shot kills without the opportunity to fight back. This happens 15-20% of the time with the AWP enabled and 5% of the time with it not. And arguably, in the case of the auto snipers, there is still the oppourtunity to fight back.

I do notice that it seems that auto use is more prevalent all of sudden though.

We've never bothered to look at it that way before Terraji, but you make it abundantly clear from yet another perspective that (for CSR) not having the AWP is a good thing.

Autos are good. Valve finally actually made them worth their extortionate pricetag. Nothing wrong with that. They are now worth something in the game. People need to learn to have fun with them, not argue because all of a sudden M4 AK arent the be-and-end-all daddies....

I don't want to see the gun banned either. The major thing I see with the auto snipers is how it benifits ***NOOBS** and ***NOOBISH*** players. They can walk shots in by holding down the trigger. Most unskilled weapon in the game? No doubt.
NTM, almost all of KittyCat's arguements for not banning the auto apply for not banning the awp.
Alk learning to have fun with them is all the learning required because aim and rof control aren't required learning.
Naturally the autosniper is going to have many less kills then any other weapon with it being the most expensive weapon on csr. When people haven't figured out save rounds what do you expect? Also, the update for autosnipers didn't happen all that long ago and stats also don't always record. There are a few confounds for you enjoy.
As for not being able to fight back against an awp. If you know where to go and certain things to do to avoid exposing yourself to an awp, then you stand a great chance. The worlds top clans know this and rely on ak/m4 rather then awp. Usually having none or one awp.

As much as I hate the auto sniper, Its not nearly as bad as the AWP. Auto snipers are nice and quiet while the AWP sounds like freight train going past you. Nothing like it being 130 in the morning, having your speakers up a bit too loud, to be greet by an AWP. I rest my case.

I'll talk about shield.
Explain why you can shoot through 2 - 3 walls and kill someone and not through the shield?
I remember reading something on the forum telling they were not interested in puting back the shield because it was basically a force field around you and until they don't nerf it a little they won'T put it back, but personally I would want it back but it's not up to me hehe.

lets talk about walls, I think all walls should be banned.
If you can shoot thru them anyways why bother to have them? We can replace all the walls with shields and then you can buy a wall to hide behind but people can still shoot you thru it if they want.

Ok i didn't really start this thread to talk about the unbanning of the awp. I have tried to get it unbanned but i don't think that will ever happen. All i am saying is that to me, if the awp and shield are to unfair, i don't see why we allow the auto sniper because i believe it is much more unfair than the awp. I just get sick of deuce camping long hallway with an auto and then the games over, even though i can usually just strafe out and hs him caus his reaction time just isn't there.
And about the awp being unfair, how many of you have actually played in a server with a good awper? I mean seriously i don't know how many other pubs you play in that allow the awp but you all talk about the awp being unfair when half of you or more than have never played with the awp. The awp is actually very easy to dodge if you use your nades and jumping and strafing correctly, just about any awper i can get to and kill, or he kills me but thats the game. I think if u all went to a server like 69.12.68.165:27015 M|inc. 2 Dust/Dust2/Aztec, thats 1 of the M|inc clan servers where i play, they allow awps and it it fine, i mean ya on aztec it's hard going across bridge when theres an awper, but it's called teamwork and smoke gernades and then you will win, I just don't feel that any of you have enough experience with the awp to say that it is unfair because i believe it to be just as fair as the ak or colt, i mean it's a bolt action gun that you can't really use close range unless you quickshot, but none of you know how to do that.
So ya please stop talking about the awp when you have no clue about it

Also, please don't assume that you have more knowlege about the game than everyone here.
We play CSR brand counter-strike, not pub server brand counter-strike, not CAL brand counter-strike and find the idea of a dust/dust2/aztec server non-appealing and we would never play there.

i didn't say that was the best server ever, but i know some members of M|inc. they allow the awp, and i'm telling you that if you play there and try to awp and watch awpers, some fairly decent people play there, but they are easy to kill, i barely play at that server unless i know kids there, i'm just saying that try playing in a server where people awp, and see what it's like.
As to you deuce, u killed me 3 or 4 times, but i just went around and strafed you like 8 times in a row, and just now i hs you through the wall, and strafed ya to times, but i'm afk better get back before you kick me

I concur. I hate Auto Snipers. I will state that I hate them whenever one of them kills me. On the other hand... I like that I don't have to worry about getting blown away by an awp, or even worry about going up against the awp style of play. I vote things stay the way they are, I really like how this server is a nice break from cal maps/play. Except maybe some sort of announcement could come up saying who has an auto sniper and which direction they run off to, so I can go the other way.

i'm down, but it has to be like next saturday or something, because i have 3 midterms nextweek so there probally won't be much cs in my future, so ya almost any time. Or i could do it tomorrow at like 5 or so
And i'm sorry my stats at csr aren't the best, but i don't really try here anymore theres no reason, i've already been at the top, oh yeah check out my names some of them are tmp or mac10- which means i'm tmpin or knifin the whole time so i get lots of deaths, but yeah not that 1v1 means anything but i'll do it, just caus it's fun.
Oh yeah and porter look at my last post, it was at 5 11 pm on thursday, i wasn't drunk till about 10 30 11, ok

hehehe. This requires a snobbish rebuttal attacking your CSR mentality. I hope you enjoy it. ahhaah
I must say your arguement that you don't try in pubs is trite. I feel there is little point to playing this game without trying. I believe it is more that people use different playing styles at different times, which sometimes comes off like they aren't "trying". For instance when I scout, it is a style of play I am choosing to use. Let it be clear that *I am trying* to take your heads off, it's just that sometimes that style is very ineffective compared to one that uses a colt and some borrowed kaoz elbowrage.
I also believe that saying you "don't try" cheapens every single kill anyone ever gets on you. Because it's not like you really died, after all you weren't trying. Likewise when you do get a kill, it means that person really eats it, because they got killed by someone who was putting in as little effort as possible.
So when someone kills you, accept it. Let them have that joy and know that they loved every damn second of it. Then, try to get them back in the next round, instead of cheapening what they just accomplished with an excuse.

I'll add that "I'm not trying" sounds like, oh I'm lagging, or my stupid mouse or any of the hundreds of other excuses people make for dying.
However, when Biggums "focuses" he does own it up pretty good, and he usually only breaks out with the "I'm not trying" in game when someone is talking smack about killing him. It must be rough having a target on your back all the time like some of you good players do. Someday maybe I'll get there.....

If we have not strayed too far from the topic i want to say that the auto should not evern be banned!!! Its a great gun and you pay lot for it and it is in no way as lame as the AWP. Kitty i applaud you in your backup for the auto, anyways what are Duece and me gunna shoot if you take our favorite gun away!

it all about teams, mics, radar, and skill
skill is really the last one on the list because it has the least impact on winning.
1) teams. If your team stays together and positions themselves well, they really can't lose.
2) if people would use their mics to call out when the enemy is coming, where they are, when the bomb is down, etc it makes your team that much better.
3) radar.. people just don't use it... when there are only a few players left.. keep an eye on your radar. not only does it tell you if those footsteps you hear are your teammates or not.. but when you see someone get picked off.. it lets you know where the enemy is
4) skill... comes in to play the most when your team got nubed and its you versus a lot... otherwise if the first 3 things are used well.. you wont be in this position.
but hell thats just my opinion... i just try to knife everyone
oh yeah and I agree 100% with Bayne

Honestly i used to try very hard on csr. I rember playin in csreview and hating ribs caus he killed me all the time. Then I started getting better and better, now i think i am fairly skilled, not compared to most people in higher leagues. But i usually have fun when i play.
As for fotty, you forgot sound. I have to tell you stero headphones are the best thing that happened to me for cs. Sounds can take walls away.
As for skip, your getting better buddy i can see it, you got the outer ring of the target on you, work on the inner rings now. gl
i'll see you in the server once steam allows me to play cs

yeah sound is importaint too..... i forgot to mention it because i always play with my headset... its like second nature... once in a while i will play with my surround sound instead, but it never helps

no offence but i have to say i'm with killer on this one. I've just finished making a post about the fact that CSR is good fun because everyone gets on so well.

Enialator I think the problem is, enough guys are pissed off at you now that they'll take any chance they can get to take a shot at you. I know you don't really care what others think of you, but you didn't expect to be able to flame guys (like Porter) that have been around on this board and CSR for years and not have people looking to flame you every chance they get did you?
