Swear Filter Blues

I was wondering if the word "damn" could be removed from the list of NO NO words. I mean, you can say "dam" without it blocking you, but I am one for correct spelling, so I always type the full word in all of its glory. But then it just looks like "**** he got me good!", and I know if I saw that I'd think I was saying shit or fuck or cunt... ect. Damn really isn't a bad word. Heck, It's used in the bible!
So please, unban my favorite word, if not for me, then for all the people who see four stars and assume the worst...

Bayne, Sir, might I suggest that you try out the word "Damnation"? If that doesn't suit your fancy you might attempt the occasional "Tarnation" or "Dagnabbit" and those of you who aren't surly prospectors might let loose with a hearty "Woe Betide Me and My Ancestors"!
With these healthy alternatives you will find your stress slowly evaporating like a liquid turning into a gas and not steaming away like a liquid turning into a gas.

porter just wondering on what grounds that word is actually being blocked?? i personally dont care since I just dont bother typing that sort of stuff, but I also personally dont see any reason why it should be blocked, its really not a bad word by any stretch of the imagination and we are not blocking some phonetic spellings of some other really bad words

Name one word that is blocked that is less bad than "damn". And if "damn" is banned why isn't "dam"? You might as well ban "hell" or "curse" if you're going to ban "damn". I seriosly doubt anyone will come here with a decent arguement over some word that should be unbanned other than "damn".
At the very least make it so it deletes the word from the sentence instead of "****" so I don't feel like a jackass everytime I say it and everyone else sees stars and assumes the worst.
