If we ever get the whole map crashing the server thing fixed, it would be good to know what day of the week most people will be around. It seems weekdays are bad for most people and I have to work Sunday night and consequently won't be around to ensure someone is there and this actually happens. So they're no good IMO. Though vote for whatever day you're most likely to be around and we'll see if we can get some other admin to show up and run the show.

When you vote please post which day you voted and a time that would be convient for you. Hopefully we can pick a date and time that accomidates everyone from Ryo in Japan to the Scottish folks.

Incidentally there are probably enough maps that don't crash the server to make up a little rotation - although we'd miss out on some of the better ones

deuceball, ship_fight, the two skeet maps and a few others seem to work with no problems. I don't remember fy_farcry crashing at all and I've yet to try cablecars or pacman on the server - who knows they might work too.

I want omg as well but I need Deuce or someone to be there when we crash the server so they can check the logs and see what's going on. And it's cs_pacman I think.

It very well might be connected to admin powers some kind, but it beats the heck out of me what the link is.

ANyway, I voted for Saturday because people are usually off work and there is a lot more flexibility for picking a time anywhere during the day so more people can play.

Just because people haven't voted doesn't mean it won't be worth doing. Randoms turned up quite a bit on a few of the maps.

Yeah, but if I wanted to play with mostly randoms, I'd just throw a bunch of random maps out, set a time, and let it rip. That's what happened with the shield/awp thing. It was all randoms and it wasn't that much fun. I'm hoping this will be different, and it won't be if we have 5 regulars show up. If I didn't care who I played with, I'd just as soon go server hopping playing random fun maps.

I thought one of the main reasons for doing this was attract people to the server. Either way it doesn't matter - I'll be there

Has any on played that cs_pacman. The one with the blue and black walls? I thought that one was pretty fun.

Well my comp is going again so I'm still going to do it - how about this Saturday? If I started it at say 11pm GMT that would be 6pm EST which should be a reasonable enough hour. Porter have you got the details on how to temporarily change the server name etc.?

Ok I'm going to do this tonight, call it a dry run or whatever you want to - get on the server at 10:50pm (5:50pm EST) and start working my way through this list in some rough order:

ill be there on a saturday if im not working. What time do most of you guys play because i never seem to see anyone in the server. This is even when i come home at 2.30 - 3.00am (GMT) after work!!

We didn't play them all - we started with me, JB and Zeus on snowskeet then deviated to 52leon We played westwood with weapon restrictions and ship_fight - but blockburst crashed the server almost immediately. So weird...
