Welcome to the new home of CSReloaded.com

Welcome to the new home of CSReloaded.com a rock solid web portal build from the ground up in 7 days. Three major principles drove our efforts to construct this site. The first and foremost was ease-of-use. The top menu provides the most commonly used links. Furthermore the site width was limited to a size that is viewable even in a scaled window at 1024 x 768 resolution. Other menu selections were placed on the right hand side of the screen. This was done to keep primary content viewable at all times. For example if you scaled your window to a very small size you will still see the news without the need to right scroll.
Exceptional functionality was our second goal. We wanted to give the community a well-balanced feature rich site. Here is a list of what we have to offer the community.
- Working Forums with karma
- All pages but the index page are HTML 4.01 or XHTML 1.0 verified*
- User database from icabbit.com, no need to reregister!
- External news
- RSS news feed url
- Psychostats
- Real time server info both concise and detailed
- Recent Forum posts on all pages
- Easy to maintain News Postings for all TeamCSR members
- User Submit able Guides and FAQ section
- User map and screenshot uploads using Forum login info
- Map downloads
- Screenshot gallery
- Random screenshots displayed on front page
- Mapcycle list with current map indicator
This list is not set in stone. Our site design is flexible enough to accommodate change and additions. If the community wills it we can do it.
The third factor behind this sites creation was reliability. We are committed to providing the community with an error free site. Functionality is useless if it does not perform the way it was intended to. This will never happen here. We have worked diligently to test our code and make sure that it's in working order before presenting it to you.
So please feel free to look around and test stuff out, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
* Due to yabbse's formatting code the index cannot be fully html 4.01 or XHTML 1.0 verified. This is a short coming of UBBC, not of the underlying site code.'

Well, the short story is that CS Review was more or less destroyed maliciously. The Wumpas and a couple handfuls of regulars (including among others: MysteryMachine, Neo, SupaFly, Ribs and Avy) have hung in there and rebuilt CS Review into CS-Reloaded. The game and web server are being funded privately in an effort to curtail the financial strain that has always been one of CSR's biggest worries, and stpes have been taken to increase security and data redundancy-- which is what really brought CSR to it's knees. Our biggest concern now is rebuilding our user base, which has taken a (substantially large) hit.
If you want a lot more detail, visit the Wumpa forums at icabbit.com and read as much as you can. Those forums served as an interim meeting point for the period right after CS Review went down (back in November I believe) until something more permanent could be constructed (around January).
Anyone else care to comment on or correct my summary?
It's good to hear from you Nick. Please spread the word to anyone we might have missed. Since pretty much everybody registered with Hotmail accounts, I fear that our email will not reach as many ears as we had hoped. We really need the help of word-of-mouth to contact all the people who used to frequent CSR. Off the top of my head, here's who I can think of who are MIA to the best of my knowledge:
dev Justboy kaoz azus primer fotty slightcrazed alkali grounded sharkhunter nittany racerX darkmage heaven ScrappyDoo ACE HolyGrail Torm empty PointBlank aries pyconn PigBone Piyono Tornado Carni Subzero
If you know how to get in touch with any of these people, or know of anyone else who might enjoy it here, please send them our way!

sup everyone.. thought i would drop a line and say hello...
i have been really busy lately.. i am writing some software for an insurance company and that has taken a lot of my free time away. I also recently stuck a mod chip in my PS2 so now i have an endless supply of free games (yeah i know, bad fotty bad bad) hell i did pay full retail for my copy of half-life though
anyways... i dont play CS all that often and when I do I slip into a few other servers that always have good numbers of player. I would be more than happy to play in here though if I saw a good game going on. I just don't really have the play time to play 1 on 1s for an hour waiting for more people
Ill add the new IP to my server list though and if i see a bunch of you in there I will definitely jump in for some headshots

Dev only has 56k? 56k rocks!
I play on 56k and ping to CSR at about 250-300 and still get by!
Never underestimate the power of lag - i know Porter and Slighty don't, what is it your on again Porter? 28k? Hoots mon! (That's Scottish for 'Sheesh' or some other stereotypical Canadian or US slang)

LOL! Dead on Justboy: 28.8 for me... and I share that with the four acatively used computers in my house!
There is hope though; After much more of a run around than anyone should ever have to go through, I've found out a Remote Terminal is going online on April 30th. I'll be trying (for the fifth time) for DSL after that. And the best part is, my boss is going to pay for it! Needlesss to say, this is something to look forward to.
It's great to see you all!

It's entirely posssible Dev. It's even possible to play without substantial lag and do reasonable well. I've even been the leader (kills-wise) for my team at times when I was on the only one on the server with a ping over 100. The trick is knowing how to tune your data rate settings down to the last byte.

If I tune my rates just I can get FM radio through my headset. It makes it harder to hear whats going on in-game when I'm alive but sure does pass the time when I'm dead. Which is often. Sadly.
