Our remote HLStats server has been upgraded with a fabulous (and expensive!) APC uninterrupted power supply. This means that the frequent storms this summer (and the subsequent power outages) should no longer affect our stats. The UPS can power both the system and the DSL modem for about an hour without utility-provided electricity, and the system itself has (finally) been configured to auto-load all the necessary daemons and applications in the event that power is lost anyway.
Considering the frequent outages in stats tracking thru-ought the past couple weeks, it may be wise to re-open the "reset the stats" topic. Please post your comments on the subject below.
